My Kind of Wonderful: An undeniably fun romantic read! (Cedar Ridge)

Romance at its best
The second part of the Cedar Ridge trilogy is set in the Colorado Rockies. The story of another brother Hudson and finding the love of his life Bailey. She has been battling cancer for the last decade and is commissioned to paint a mural of Hudson’s family at their ski resort in the mountains. Sparks fly and will they end up together? I’m interested to see the story of Hudson’s twin Jacob in book 3 as he is estranged from his family and hasn’t been in touch for years.5 star read again from one of my favourite authors.

Ideal for lovers of small-town romance
This is a small-town, light romance which meets the expectations of readers who particularly enjoy this genre (I include myself in that number). It's the second in this series and I would advise you to read the first one before this one as you will understand the family dynamics and several story arcs which will obviously continue through the series better although this novel could stand on its own if required.Hudson is the overworked and conscientious brother who has his own trauma in the shape of a missing twin. Bailey is an artist retained by the family's befuddled mother to paint a mural of the family - she is recently recovered from serious illness and has a list of activities that she wishes to experience. Bailey stays at the family's request and her relationship with Hudson grows - until it hits a barrier.Absolutely nothing you wouldn't expect in this story but it is told with humour and a deft touch. A quick read which will make you smile. I received a free copy of this book from the publishers via NetGalley.

An amazing, addictive, time stealer of a read!
As the second in the Cedar Ridge series, I was so pleased when the pre-order dropped onto my kindle. Loved book one and have learnt the Ms Shalvis doesn't disappoint, her writing is entertaining, fun, meaningful, romantic in spades, tough, and Jill writes great flawed alpha males and the women who come along and take their breath and heart away. Fabulous read, seriously you've got to read it, and book one, not compulsory before reading (she's that good in weaving a story) but you'll be hooked! Enjoy

Loved this book
Loved this book! I couldn't put it down once I started it! Highly recommend to anyone who wants an "easy" read - but "easy" as in it absorbs you into feeling every part of the story! I would highly recommend the others in the series and indeed, other books by Jill. Easily as good as Jill's other books!
