Always a good romantic read
The first in a series set in Cedar Ridge. I love the story of Aidan and his family and Lily who returns home to find work but ends up finding so much more. The setting is important to me in books and this one is set in the Colorado Rockies and the author makes it a special place to be. As always Jill Shalvis delivers a romantic, touching read with much more to the book than the relationship between the two main characters. Both Lily and Aidan have things in their past to deal with and lots of secrets flung in there too. I love a read where there is tension and resistance between the characters and this one delivers.I will always head to Jill Shalvis for a comfort read, this was read in a day and I’m glad she has a good back catalogue because I can’t wait to pick up another one. The other two in this series follow the love lives of two of Aidan’s single brothers. I can’t wait to meet the family again.A 5 star read - I was lost in their lives for a day and a superb escape read for me.

Jill, you 're amazing. A full range of emotions.
I really have an eclectic taste when it comes to books but never have I found one which had the right mix until nowThe story of a young woman, Lily, returning to her small, mainly caring community, where there are no secrets, everyone knows and looks out for each other. It tells of siblings with the same abusive absent father, brought together at an adventure resort run and owned by this family. The handsome brothers are also part emergency services from mountain rescue to firemen. Superbly fit and protective of family and friends overstepping boundaries come up against their mother, leading to some hilarity. It describes the re- awakening of deep feelings between Lily and Aiden who finally admit their llove. The gentle teasing, the feelings for the whole community, especially the family makes one want to be there.I look forward to reading more of Jill's work.

Entertaining light romance
Lily returns to Cedar Ridge because it is her only opportunity to get a job in a beauty salon after her life implodes. She left the town and her attraction for Aidan Kincaid after the death of her sister for which she blames herself. Aidan and his family own the resort and run the activities but he is not expecting Lily to return and not anticipating his reaction when she does. This is light romance with a second chance theme. It is filled with amusing moments especially as Lily is always having to be rescued or is only seen by Aidan at her worst. You are never in doubt that the two of them will overcome their barriers and come together by the end but the process of them getting there is entertaining. The book is enhanced by the fact that there are some excellent descriptions of the outside environment and the activities that they enjoy together. This is obviously the first in what will be a series based on the family.

Worth a read
A lovely book set in a small American town, Cedar Ridge, centering around a family dealing with their Father's betrayal and doing all they can to save the family's business, a holiday resort. Each of the brothers and Sister have their own jobs as well as working in the resort, apart from the eldest who runs it.This book is about Aidan and Lily, Aidan is a firefighter and Lily has just come back to Cedar Ridge after losing her job, she's also still dealing with the death of her Sister who died in Cedar Ridge some years before.I'm looking forward to the next books in the series.

Fast paced and witty, with a happy ever after.
This was written really well. A contemporary story with all the usual twist but included lots of fast wit and humour which you don't usually get with 'chick lit'. Totally made the book for me, was very refreshing. Really enjoyed it. Couldn't put it down and will certainly be reading more from this author.
