... wanted to upgrade from my once used to be Super computer to somewhere better
I wanted to upgrade from my once used to be Super computer to somewhere better, and i guess i have done it right.First i was looking for two thing, WOW effect, since i use this PC as workstation for my photography studio and Super performance, i normally use (3) screens if not (4) for PS, LR and Bridge and this require good performance.I did not face any trouble with my built, i can say that i didnt depend at all on the user manual and instead i have used only Youtube, i believe the user manual provided is not sufficient at all.I have purchased LCD wall bracket to hang the PC to the wall as seen in the picture.Take into consideration the following: P5 is huge, and i mean huge so its no desktop version if you have multiple monitors.I was able to overclock this beauty to 2050 without a problem :)UserBenchmarks: Game 113%, Desk 163%, Work 116%

Amesome video card.
This graphics card is quite the upgrade from my 1050. Not only is my framerate very high (above 80 for most games on ultra settings,1080p) but the card runs quiet and cool. Games like PUBG, Elder Scrolls, CSGO and Crysis all run like a dream. Not much difference between this Gigabyte 170 card and the MSi card, the msi card just card looks prettier and has a backplate. No difference in performance. If you want a better looking card, go with the msi 1070, but if you're like me and don't care about looks too much, the gigabyte card is the right choice since you'll save some cash.I will write another review once i try out my system on a 1440p, 144hz monitor since this card can run that resolution very well also. This card is a little bit overkill for the 1080p, but since i plan on upgrading to running 1440p in the near future, that's why I paid more for this card instead of a 1060. As far as 4k, this card can handle it, it's just that you'll sacrifice your framerate and get more like 26-30fps. For 4k, definitely get a 1080 and some solid cooling.Overall this card crushes any game I throw at it. Only cons would be that it doesn't look as pretty as the other 1070's.Update: 5/5/2018. It’s been almost a year with this card and I must say I’m impressed. No issues whatsoever yet. I also upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor and I can still run any modern game with 80+ fps easily. I also overclocked this card slightly using MSI Afterburner and it does get a little but hotter but nothing major. Going to get the most bang for my buck with this card until the new Volta cards come out. If you’re looking to buy a graphics card, I’d strongly recommend to wait until the new cards come out. The prices right now are crazy expensive!!!My system specs.Intel i7 7700kMSI Z270 m3 moboGtx 1070Phanteks Eclipse p400 Case2x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Corsair CX750m Psu

Powerful but magically quiet GPU
Solid card, does not feel cheap and while I thought their boasts about the uber magical fan blades were silly I've found this card to be very very quiet. No doubt you can bring this card to its knees on 4k screens with high settings, I've found on 1080 output I can take most of my games to the highest or nearly highest settings and maintain solid 30-60 FPS with no issues, no crazy fan noise, and no heating issues at all.Pros:QuietVery capable GPU without bleeding edge pricePlenty of outputs for your multi-screen setups.Cons:none - this card is a sweet spot

3 Years later....
I never wrote a review like I intended when I bought this card back in January of 2017. I figured I'd write it after I saw how it worked on my system and totally forgot about it.Fast forward to April 2020. The card still working without a glitch. There has not been a game or graphic intensive software that it hasn't handled like a champ. I went looking to see how much I paid for it. With tax it came out to $405. Today, the card is going for over $500!!! THREE YEARS LATER!!!! I nearly spit the whiskey I was drinking that was going to convince me to buy another to do an SLI setup. So much for that idea!! LMAO!!So, with the proper drivers, monitor and supported software, this card can do 8k resolutions. I can't attest to that, as 8k monitors are still too rich for my blood at this time. But it handles my Samsung 32" and my Asus 27" monitors at max resolutions without a glitch. I can have a game on the 32" and whatever else on the 27". Not. A. Problem.Mind you, it's paired with a 7 year old Intel I5 3570K (overclocked) with 16 GB of RAM on a Gigabyte Z77X motherboard. The system is OOOOOLD!!! But still rocks like nobody's business!!I have had no reason to upgrade. At All.If you own this card, hold on to it. If you want this card, try to find a better deal than $500+.Highly recommended though.

Let me bullet point what I like and dislike about the card
Let me bullet point what I like and dislike about the card.Like:* Great performance, a rather nice upgrade from a GTX 970. I mainly play ARK, which has some crappy programming and get about double the frame rates. I still can run everything at EPIC levels because the frame rates will fall below 30 at times.* Lower power usage. Not nearly as hot as my 970* Not too big, size wise a bit longer than the 970, so check your case!Dislike:*The fans can sound really whiney. I can't explain it, but the pitch when the fans ramp up is really irritating. 2 stars knocked off because it's that noticeable. I've even downloaded the latest Windforce app and messed with the fan curves. It's just too high pitched.Over all, this is a GREAT card. I'm extremely happy with it for 1920x1080 gaming.
