Desert Rose Plant (5 Pack) Adenium Obesum Plant 5-6 inches Tall Desert Rose Seedlings

They survived the 5 day trip to Hawaii plus a weekend at the USPS! I treated them with Bontone II Rooting Powder before potting them. I thought 1 was a goner. But, one month after, ALL 5 are strong and healthy! The caudex on all 5 are developing nicely.

I got 5 husky, healthy little plants with roots. The roots were wrapped and in small soil balls. Within a few hours of receiving them, I had them all in six inch pots using a cactus mix. Full grown go for $18 to 39. I don't know what varieties I got but adeniums are always spectacular.

Plants packaged nicely and looks healthy. Caudex is more like 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch, but still looks cute. Disappointed that there were instructions though

I didn’t check the mailbox during the middle of the summer as often and these plants were in there for a few days. Note desert roses are succulents and can withstand drought better than being in soaked water.These werr carefully packed and stalks were still very green and roots were healthy though the leaves wilted and dried up which is normal. As soon as I put them in cactus soil (I added more pearlite and extra peat moss with some potting soil). I just allowed the soil to be wet before I put the plants in. I did not water right away. I allowed the soil to dry up and allowed the plants to get acclimated. Then I watered throughly in a peat container or well drained container. I only watered when soil was bone dry. In winter desert rose cannot be left cold below 60 degrees it will die. These may be about 1-3 years and will take awhile to bloom. Maturity for blooms is about 5 years. Or if you buy one in stores they are grafted and cost roughly around $60.Good luck.

These come bare root without the pots. If you purchase them and it ships first class mail to the US be prepared to lose 1 or 2 plants due to length of shipping and stress. You will need a 5 inch pot or smaller to plant these. The plants are decently sized for the price that you pay.

I received mine in August 2022 and they are doing beautifully, I had them all placed in one pot as I anticipated they might not all survive long and boy was I wrong! They have grown so beautifully and while the classic only the strong will survive applies I had one that was showing dehydration, I removed it to its own pot and watered it thoroughly and it seems to be happy and getting healthier every single day since. As you will see in the picture there is one that is stunted that will be the next one I move to it’s own pot in the next few days. I am also going to look at other flowers from this grower and see what else I want to buy because I am so happy with how these guys have done.

I was very surprised when I opened my box of desert rose puos. They arrived in great condition. I have them planted in a shallow bowl and they're all doing wonderful. My only suggestion to seller is to try to pack them a little better as for the most part the little baggies were spilled in the box from rough handling. Other than that, thank you for such healthy plants. I would definitely reorder these in the future.
