Works great when you use it correctly
Sooooo I was initially very frustrated with this set up. The bottle kept falling off the cage. The clip that holds it on seemed flimsy. Id put the bottle on and as soon as my piggies would come take a sip, boom, on the floor it would go. But it didnt leak!!! I thought maybe it was defective so I bought another one. Then and only then did I discover the product is great and Im an idiot. I some how had the clip on backwards. Figured that out and viola. No more falling. The only thing I would like better is if the little floater thing to see water level was a little bigger and didnt come out the bottle so easily.

Terrible product
This is a terrible product. First, it leaks. I fill it as instructed, water to the very top to create a vacuum, but it still dribbles out. Second, the ball bearings routinely get stuck in the bend of the straw - which means I have to shake to get it loose. Third, my piggies have created a game of gnawing on it so hard they rip it out of the socket - which results in it spilling all over the place. The water bottle I bought here in SE Asia for $1 works much better

Best so far
This water bottle is a good value, leaks significantly less than similar bottles and holds a good amount of water. My only con is that it works best on cages that have close knit horizontal and vertical bars. Our cage is mostly verticals bars with a few horizontal bars and installation was not ideal. I had to engineer some solutions to try and get it to stay. Still falls off sometimes but I’m keeping it since it doesn’t leak much.

Another unreliable water bottle
This bottle cracked after about a month of use (on the flat back part, along the seam that runs through the 'nub' which locks into the cage-fitting/holder piece).I did not handle it roughly or do anything different than I have with my primary bottle, which is this same bottle in a smaller size (10 or 12oz, I believe). I wanted a secondary bottle for my ratty, who is a king in his double Ferret Nation castle and liked having more than one bottle scattered about the cage. My 10oz (12oz?) Lixit Cage Snuggler has outlasted countless other bottles, which come and go. I cannot be alone in the frustrating experience with these small animal water bottles -- they are just plain unreliable. Many do not work from the get-go; some models have bad suction and dribble, some models are generally good but still have lemons. So, I give this product a 3-star rating in the hopes that I just got a lemon; as I said, the smaller one of this same model has lasted me a couple years now.P.S. By the way, I always take the turtles/ducks out of these things. They annoy me and fall out whenever I go to change the water. In my opinion, if you need a plastic turtle to show you when the water is almost out, you should reconsider having a pet -- drinking water should be changed well before the animal drinks the entire bottle. Unless, of course, the bottle is being emptied every day or two because either a.) the bottle is leaking, or b.) the bottle is too small for the animal. Either way, the bottle should probably be replaced at that point so you don't drown or dehydrate your pet -- again rendering the turtle useless.
