5 In. Backer Pad for Orbital Sanders

I ordered this replacement pad by mistake for a Porter Cable 382, which has 3 mounting screws, but the pad has 4. But, the pad is good quality and the Velcro is good, and considering the other options are more than twice the price, I modified it instead of returning it. Works great. So, don't get this for a three-hole sander, but great quality and price.

This pad is the right size, screw holes are in the correct places every thing was good BUT the previous pad had four holes where these alignment pins gone. This one did not have those pin holes. Ugh. So very disappointed with just about every Amazon purchase.

I can't believe I didn't replace the pad sooner. I totally forgot how nice it is to have a fresh one that isn't damaged and grips everything really well.Shipped quickly, arrived undamaged and I got exactly what I ordered.Worked out great. Highly recommended buying one if you've been contemplating replacing your old pad.

Prompt shipping, good packing, correct part.I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the pad did not come with screws to attach to the unit, nor did it include documentation on which screws to use. Arguably, that information is more pertinent to the bearing cap than the backer pad. I spent some time at the hardware store figuring it out, and now I wish I had noted what I got so I could add it to this review.

They always had a good product, although they may be a little more weighty they stand up overtime.

I used this on a Chicago electric orbital sander from HF with same screw pattern. Sadly HF does not have a replacement. Decided to try this pad. The pad does have a few little nibs on the back which the Chicago Electric did not have holes for, but I found that I was able to just screw it down tight and worked just fine. Holds hook and loop pads great

this sander pad was not a perfect fit for a mculough orbital sander but was not too difficult to adjust the screw holes to accommodate. the pad grips the sander sheets well and holds up well to close edge work

Bourght for to replace Velcro on a harbor freight orbital sander, doesn’t have exactly the same 4 additional small indents off the old one, but it was easy to add those with a drill and works fine.

Works but the packaging is misleading and design seem like it’s knock off product.Very misleading not from Ryobi it seems. Where is the packaging that is displayed in the amazon store???
