Yet you feel as though you are on a sex marathon. That is why she is good at what she does. The story line and the character’s meld together so perfectly that the story almost becomes realistic and you imagine it is you. Not to mention your attention is grabbed from the beginning and you will not want to put the book down. You even have appearances from Abby and Dane from the first book “Off Limits.” I love a series that doesn’t forget the other characters that help to make the series AWESOME!!!! This is a book you do not want to miss.Shawnie lived in Georgia with her friend Abby. They are kidnapped and brutalized by their kidnapper. They are rescued by Abby’s true love Dane. Shawnie moves from Georgia to try to get on with her life and continue her education. That is hard for her to do when she believes that a demon is inside of her trying to take over her life. She releases that demon and winds up a private club for those with BDSM fantasies and indulges her demon in fantasies of different types of BDSM. Then she meets Professor Rafe Meyers who is a professor at the college and he is a rare breed. He is a protectionist who can be ruthless. He has always thought that he didn’t need love and even considered himself a monster. He has many talents, but he has his own demons and dark side. Yet, he sees something more in Shawnie and offers her a part on his research team rather than taking her as his intern. He asks her out for dinner so that he can get a sense of who she is. He knows she dealing with demons of her own and he wants to heal her, yet he also wants her to be his submissive. There are also parts where you can read her conversations with her therapist and she is discussing her relationship with Rafe and how he is helping keep her demon at bay. There are a lot of twist and turns in their relationship and in the story. Shawnie is even put into danger by the owner of the BDSM club that she frequented before meeting Rafe. Can Rafe protect Shawnie from this man? Can Rafe salvage his job and reputation and keep Shawnie? This feels like a book written by Ms. Landish...characters that are developed, intelligent, and a good storyline. Before this novel I read Scorpio and the writing is like day and night. This book is smart, unpredictable, and overall very enjoyable - please stay on this path and don’t deviate anytime soon. With that said, the book did take a too far fetch improbability for me but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. MAY CONSIDER THIS A SPOILER SO READ AT OWN RISK - I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the intimate scenes were in some instances too darn detailed but I understand it worked with the title of the book and storyline.

Lauren Landish does it again! This is a fantastic book that has multiple stories going on which I found interesting and exciting. There are so many twists and turns, that I didn’t know what was going to happen until the very end. Rafe is super alpha while Shawnie was so strong after every thing she had been thru. There is some BDSM but its tasteful. Rafe found what he was looking for when he wasn’t even looking for in Shawnie and she found her man in Rafe. The dual POV is great. This is one story that I really enjoyed. I absolutely hate being in the review minority but this one wasn't a hit for me. I thoroughly enjoyed Off Limits but this one not so much. My biggest downfall was the multiple partners. I'm not a prude but this is a complete turnoff for me. I'm also for a girl having a healthy sex life but this is a bit far-fetched. To me Shawnie was not the epitome of a healthy girl. She was the clearly messed up. To me Shawnie was just sort of promiscuous young lady. I don't like it when the H gets plenty of relations either. These are huge turn offs for me.After the 17th chapter begins it turns out really well. But for me it just wasn't enough to sway my review. The latter part of this book was spot on real entertainment. I really enjoyed it. Though I did enjoy their intimate moments. They were placed well and extremely erotic. I apologize with all my heart but this book was not an "it" book for me.

I love this story! I love to see the fight within her and the struggles that she suffered from the 1st book. You'll want to read no limits 1st! You get backstory on Shawnee and what she suffered through.Totally love this story great great read

The book was good in the sense that it depicted shawnie struggle and how she coped. But what it didn't have were the what ifs and why like what did Mr.Robinson stand to gain? Not to mention towards the end everything was rushed at least that's how it felt to me. And even though this was Shawnee story I felt like Abigail could have been mentioned more or at least as much as Shawnee was in Abigai's story. Then there the whole rafe and counselor thing I understand the complications but the story short of blurred in trying to distinguish themselves apart and how they played a role in shawnee life. It started off promising but towards the end it left me blank and confused.

Both are highly intelligent and extremely devoted to their careers. They meet at a university where he teaches and she is a graduate student in the same field. Events transpire that throw them together.There are multiple events that could destroy their relationship, but will they or will they join them together?

This is deep in so many ways, strong emotions on both sides. Raw pain so deep it affects how they think and feel about themselves, one thinks he is a monster and she thinks she has a demon inside trying to take her over. How badly people have them, used and abused. When they meet you can almost sense their souls reaching out to a kindred spirit. Where one is more dominant the other is submissive, but even in that they sometimes switch a little as they get to know each other. With lots of twists and some suspense and intrigue this book definitely had me hooked tight and didn't let go, I just wanted to read until the end but life got in the way so it took me a bit longer than I wanted. If you like a story that has a bit of everything including hot sexual content, then this is the book for you, no cliff hangers and though it is the second book in this series I do agree that you don't have to have read the first book even though I had. I must say that I have read quite a few books by Lauren and have loved them all but these do have a much deeper feel, the subject matter and the characters themselves have a fair amount of issues that all play there part in this. I do love books that have a bit more content and this does, Lauren just gets better with every book she releases though how you can improve on fantastic I don't know.

No Limits by Lauren Landish is an amazing read! I am such a fan of this author. Dark romance is not my usual genre but I can not turn down a book by this author and I always love it, including No Limits. I was afraid this book would be too dark, maybe upsetting or depressing but it isn't. Although the subject matter is dark Lauren always bring hope and light to her stories. I see many have described the plot, so I won't duplicate that but terrible things, unimaginable things happen to far too many of people making every day life a painful struggle. Raffe and Shawnie's journey, and love story is difficult. They have endured horrible experiences but they are drawn to each other like magnets. I couldn't imagine what Raffe would be able to do to help this poor girl heal and was amazed at the author's insight. The plot twisted and turned and kept me on the edge of my seat. I wasn't sure what kind of journey they would take but once I started I was in it til the end. I've yet to be able to put down a Lauren Landish book before I've read it front to back. I'm not off the read Off Limits by Lauren. I ABSOLUTELY recommend.

This is purely based on the first book as I have read the other two before and left reviews.A traumatised young woman who's trying to rebuild her life and has a dual personality, one where she's normal working on her PhD and the darker side stemming from her trauma she calls her demon which embraces being abused and abased at a bdsm club.She meets her boss who has the same tendencies.Simple storyline but a bit far fetched with regards to her bosses back story. It just didn't grip me. It is however well written and the characters and dialogue were good.The other two books are good.
