My first "Robin Cook" novel had me "hooked".
A friend suggested that as I was a fan of John Grisham I would probably like suspense novels by Robin Cook. I read this book first and was hooked immediately. All the way through the reader is constantly jumping from one conclusion to the other only to have them all proved wrong by a complete twist at the end.I did wonder if some of the terminology used might have been a little off-putting for people who have no medical knowledge at all, but as a trained nurse I managed with some difficulty. However its important to remember that even if you don't completely understand the technical language you will certainly be able to follow the main themes and twists and turns of the mystery.I became very "connected" with the two main characters who work in the Medical Examiner's Office and found myself checking out all Cook's other books to find those which continued with the same characters. You really won't be able to put this book down!

Robin Cook -Crisis (fair read)
Not as good as other Robin Cook books I have read, but enjoyed nonetheless.

Good read.
Not intellectually challenging but entertaining and different. I did not have to jump pages to avoid lots of bad language, violence or sex which was good. This is the third Robin Cook book I have read. They do make some serious points about medicine today without labouring them and becoming preachy. Good book to enjoy on a day off .

I am so glad to have found this author. His style and creative story lines keep me so intrigued that I am reluctant to put the book down. I will now revert to List for my next book! Have read 4 at this moment in time just can't get enough. Thank you Mr Cook for keeping me so focused x

a great page turner
An easy read , exciting and relaxing at the same time. Robin Cook has the ability to give you a complicated, intrinsic medical situation in a way that is understandable as well as thrilling and in this book he threw in a court case as well. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Crisis by Robin Cook
A fantastic book by one of my all time favourite authors with an intriguing ending. A good steady read that builds very quickly into a Will or won't storyline with a great demonstration of the pantomime of being in court
