China. I don't know what you want them for, but we hoped to actually use them for eating with. They do not work for that. They are way too big , and thick and squared off on the bottom. More like a place to rest your real spoons. I don't what the maker was thinking .

Q: Are these tablespoons?

Volume wise, yes they are equivalent to Table spoon.

Q: can you microwave them?

Why do you want to microwave these spoons? I have not done it yet- Just because they are glass spoons- I had done such as stirred these spoons in boiling hot soup on stove in the pot into a bowl and serve hot and so far so good- there are no breakage- These are THICK GLASS spoons, well made- I only wish if the handle 1 inch longer would be perfect- I love these spoons- I don't see any faulty in them.
