Wow! GREAT product - "The price is right and the waffles are perfect!"
Wow! GREAT product! I've wanted a waffle iron for the longest time and, after carefully reviewing a number of them, I chose this product. It is well made of polished stainless steel and a sturdy plastic. The cooking surface has a non-stick coating so cooking oil is usually not needed. It comes with a 3-year warranty. The "ready" lights make cooking waffles straightforward and easy - red indicates the iron is hot and ready for the batter and the green light indicates the waffle is ready - in about 2- 3 minutes. Their are 5 cooking ranges so your waffle can be made as you want it - from lightly toasted to pleasantly crisp. The 7+" round waffles are cooked very quickly and with absolute consistency. The iron is safe to touch (on the outside!) and really easy to clean. It's easily stored standing on the counter out of the way, or placed in a drawer. We have been making waffles frequently as they are so easy to make. Our 10 year old loves making the waffles! Be sure to get your batter right - you are not cubing pancakes! - and you'll have excellent results. There are droves of recipes offering a wide variety of waffles that you can make, but this iron is not for Belgian Waffles. The Product Manual, available as a PDF download, has a number of recipes. I wholehearted recommend the Cuisinart Waffle Maker, 1250W Round Classic Waffle Iron. The price is right and the waffles are perfect!

It makes good waffles
I was going to buy that stylish iron that Alton Brown made famous, but Amazon does not carry them at this time. Thought about looking elsewhere, despite having a $25 Amazon gift card, but that model makes Belgium style waffles, while the Cuisinart makes the thinner conventional style.Hmmm, actually I don't actually like the fluffy soft style in cookies or waffles. Went with the Cuisinart. Only cost me $5 (!) as I have Prime shipping.I am happy with the results. The thermostat actually works and you get consistent crispiness. Doesn't take too long. Doesn't stick (see below). Easy as possible to clean. The waffles are great. They are now a Sunday tradition and will fuel guests during the holidays. I would rather make waffles than deal with the cook to order holiday breakfast requests. The quality of your efforts will depend on the actual recipie, rather than the machine, and that is good. I wanted to make that Alton Brown-based mix, but ended up using Bob's Red Mill brand as it has both white and whole wheat flour, baking soda and powder and dried buttermilk. You add oil and eggs and water or liquid buttermilk, which is what I do. This is a good recipie and silmilar to Brown's and several reviewers'. I tried butter instead of oil, but that was not so successful. Now I use canola oil and save the butter for the topping.Overflow is always an issue with waffle irons as the mix expands when heated. I pour in about 1/4 cup and spread it out with a spatula so that it just fills in the channels, up to the top of the peaks and no more. I tried the 1/2 cup suggestion, but had to clead up a lot of overflow and I do not like the idea of any liquid in the thermostat area for obvious reasons. It is easier to add a little mix than to remove an excess. The easy way to finish them off is to fill a measuring cup with butter and maple syrup in a ratio and quality of your choice and melt it together.Sticking is an issure for many with this and all irons. I give a quick spray of Pam to start and spread it around with a paint brush. Don't try to spray the whole thing as everything near and far will be covered with oil. Doing this once seems to work all morning. Staying above 3 on the thermostat and not using butter in the mix is helpful as well. This made all of my waffles pop out easily.Cleaning is done with a towel and because nothing sticks, that isn't so hard.Storing it on end is great, although I haven't figured out how to plug it into itself to stow the cord. I think the cord is an inch too short for that feature to work.I can recommend the Cuisinart based on its performance so far. Only time will tell if it will last. All product forums are filled with complaints about things that break and that always makes me paranoid when I read those reviews.

Amazing but difficult to clean! 🥪
Although phenomenal in theory and creates incredible waffles and waffle stuffed bread sandwiches 🤤 unfortunately, there's no way to take the plates out so cleaning them can grow mold since the box says never to put water directly on the plates. It's safe, heats very fast and well, versatile, the perfect size and extremely convenient when you want something mouthwatering but don't feel like using multiple pots and pans and dishes.

No need to buy an expensive waffle maker!
I hemmed and hawed for over a week about which waffle maker to buy. All of them cost more than this compact one and some are downright expensive.I almost bought the krups one for I think $169?Glad I didn’t!I read most of the reviews on this cuisinart and they are very positive and decided to try this one for $30.99 and see what I think and I can always return it thanks to Amazon’s amazing return policy.Well I’m NOT going to return it haha.Although it’s not German engineering it works great and it gets the job done very well.I made two waffles this morning using the Farmhouse pancake and waffle mix which I was trying for the first time also. Both waffles tasted very good in spite of my first time using this cuisinart machine.Neither waffle even began to stick to the plates. So I’m learning the machine right now? And the mix as well. Next time I will follow the mix directions exactly. I added just a bit more dry mix because I thought it was too runny. I’m used to making pancakes!Still the waffles turned out very good and the mix left enough for a third waffle. Perfect amount for three waffles!Heck I may even make waffles again today for dinner lol.Don’t stress out about cleaning the plates. I first off hit them lightly with a kitchen dish brush and wiped down with a damp paper towel. That’s it!I used no oil whatsoever on the plates before adding the batter. The batter mix calls for 2 Tablespoons of melted butter so for sure don’t forget that. But whatever you use for the waffle batter make sure you have enough oil or butter in it and I don’t think you will have a problem with sticking. Good luck and have fun!

Convenient and easy to use waffle maker
Bought as a Christmas present and since it is used daily, I would say it is well loved and works great. Not sure how healthy it is to eat waffles every day, but who am I to judge.. it is easy to use and you just pour in a little over a half cup or homemade batter (at least she does) and you have fresh waffles in around a minute a piece. You need to pay attention since it does cook so quickly. Easy to tell when it’s done since it goes from green when you first put it in, to red, and back to green when it’s done. You can even choose the level of “doneness” like a toaster does, in the front. It is very compact since it’s about the size of a waffle, so easy storage. Mostly easy to clean unless you spill some in the front. Not as easy to get into those parts to clean, but if you don’t overfill and spill out the side, you’re good. Err on the side of caution for your first one and pour right in the middle.

makes waffles
and in the morning...I'm making waffles!Works well. The slider temperature switch could be better. Overall this is much better than the bigger waffle irons. Never had an issue with it, and the waffles turn out really good.

Lovin' this waffle iron!
I love waffles, but the only iron I've ever used was my Mom's old iron... WAY back before they had non-stick coatings, even before Pam came about! And I just could NOT make a waffle that didn't stick horribly to the pan, making it almost impossible to clean. So I took to making baked waffles. But it takes SOOO long to bake waffles, mine (in a silicon baking form) take between 30-40 minutes to fully bake. Way too long to wait when you prefer instant gratification! Well, I decided to give an actual, modern, iron a chance. And I am SO glad I did! I picked it up as a Christmas present to me from the hubby (this way I get something I actually WANT! lol) and used it the first time on Dec. 28. I used a recipe in the instruction booklet that came with the iron, I followed all the directions for use and prep (DO use Pam before each use, it works wonderfully!!!) and I ended up with the best Nutty Whole Wheat Waffle that I've ever eaten! I set my iron on 3 (recommended setting for first use) and made my waffle. It was delicious, but not quite as crunchy on the top as I prefer. Next waffle was cooked at setting 4, and it was exactly the way I like 'em! Warm and soft inside, just the right amount of "crisp" to the outside. I can see where someone that wants a crisper waffle might want to take the heat up to 4.5 or even 5... but for my tastes, 4 is perfect! It takes about 1.5 minutes to fully bake a waffle in this iron, such an improvement over baking them in the oven!!!Clean up so far is a simply matter, a hot damp rag run over all interior surfaces once the iron has cooled. I only bake one waffle at a time (for my lunch, home alone time), so far I've made a total of 7 waffles... and a simply wipe works perfectly each time (though I do make sure to get into the grids, I don't want old, burned Pam to flavor my foods). To say I'm happy with my purchase is a real understatement! I'm lovin' my new waffle iron, and I'm totally pleased with it's performance, clean up, ease of use, and storage requirements (it has a low profile when closed and stand on it's end perfectly, so it fits in my rather clutters cabinets with no problem). I do recommend this product.

Excellent waffle maker!
This is a fantastic waffle iron! I wanted it because I wanted to do the old-fashion thinner waffles. This waffle pan cooks them to perfection.More than that, it heats up in a matter of minutes, and cooks the waffles in two or three minutes (there is a dial for selecting how dark you want your waffles). The dial is absolutely consistent which is a wonderful feature. It is easy to clean and a joy to cook with.I read the reviews here on Amazon and there were some that said that the lid as loose, which concerned me. I thought my lid was loose as well but found it worked beautifully.
