The Russian Tea Room Cookbook

I had this from over 30 years ago and had lost it so was delighted that I could buy a replacement. Have visited The Russian Tea Rooms several times and loved it every time - book a lovely reminder.

Great book lots of personality so far recipes seem clear enough to follow. I prefer books with pictures and give you step by step images too but still a pretty nice book to have if you’re a friend of the RTRWith the used book I got I do have issues with and entirely please I know it gave indication of being used but to be fair to the customer at least provide details on WHAT the wear and tear is. I’m bumped the book cover is ripped in the front and it has a strong smoke smell in all the pages but otherwises the pages are in good visual quality

I lived in midtown in NYC in the 70s-80s and dined at the RTR at least once a month. The borscht and ice cold vodka and the chicken Kiev were my favorites. Few diners knew that the owner, Faith Stewart-Gordon, was raised in South Carolina as I was, making us kindred spirits. This book brings back so many happy memories.

I knew I would like the book....I didn’t know I would love the recipes . I have made 3 in the last 4 days, very good , husband ate all.
