Can the processor be removed from the board or is it the soldered on type?

It is soldered on, but looks like it could be easily removed. You would then have to extend the leads.

I have bought one for my sunfounder Uno R3 . It is very useful. Sunfounder is a good vender for open source products.

Not Chromebook friendly.

Couldn't get Chromebook to work with it. Bought cheap windows 10 laptop and everything was soon up and running. Paul McWhorter has excellent tutorials on YouTube for every(?) sensor and output in the box. Everything's great so far. Anxious to start some of my own projects.
