Works great so far
Instillation was pretty straight forward and so far so good. Have already bought two more. One to make another holster and one to save as a spare for the future if these guys don’t make these in 10 years.

Perfect for my philster enigma holster

Compatible with Safariland SLS Holsters with some modification but not same performance.
The SLS hood on an old Safariland holster (Model 6280) had clearance issues with a rear sight I installed so I purchased this as a "lets see if it works" replacement to fix the clearance issue. Long and short this product did fix the clearance issue and the Speed Locks strap does retain the gun during a gun grab scenario.My problems are:1) The button has to be "flicked" with the thumb to release the strap, not pushed and held. Lubricating the Speed Lock in strategic areas helps it flip open quickly.2) since this isn't totally compatible with Safariland holsters, I did have to drill new holes into my holster for the bottom two mounting holes on the lock mechanism and widen the screw hole on the strap. Not a big deal for me. Safariland's famous allen key hardware is compatible with the screw retainers in the package.I will post a video on my YouTube Channel: "Dan Pizzi Firearms Instructor" in the near future about the mods I had to do.

It works great
The media could not be loaded. This is the first holster I’ve ever made and I really like the way this brought it to life! It was easy to install and after a bit of crafting it works smoothly!

good idea bad execution
it looks great and the concept is awesome. used in on a custom g19 holster for a security officer. the hood release tends to bind up and not reset, and if it does reset half the time it wont release the hood when pulled. qc seems really bad.
