When we first received this book,my grandson((7) looked at the pictures quite closely. When he read, he asked if Grandpa had dogs like that when he went on the ice at his lake..He compared the story to where we lived in the U.P of Michigan, I said no, but I think he put his grandpa in the story . He like the book very much and so did I.

Great book about friendship and dogs being loyal and smart.

This book was used to incorporate friendship in the animal section of our reading program. The students enjoyed reading the book.
