平易な英語なんで辞書を使わず楽に読みあげました。ただそれほどたいしたことも述べてない気もしましたが、広く浅くいろいろなトピックをとりあげており、執筆文化自体に疎い人にはいくらか役に立つでしょう。ただちょっと古いですね。タイプライターの世界です。百科事典を一冊用意しておきなさいといわれて紹介される本が紙の本であったりして、wikipediaどころかwindowsすらなかった時代の本ですから。実用半分、読み物半分で、安い本ですし気楽に。

100 Ways To Improve Your Writing by Gary Provost, 1985 is short little book which packs a good punch. With 100 ways, ideas and suggestions to help improve any sort of writing, this book is a good little investment and gives you lots of things to think about, and things to pursue.The book is split into 11 chapters, of which each ‘way’ (there is 100), so if you have just five minutes to spare, during a tea-break, you can learn something, and improve your writing. There are some good rules and guides for grammar, coupled with examples of good and bad forms. The chapter on editing is also informative, as are the 6 ways to avoid punctuation errors. An engaging book, with scatterings of humour and personality.
