Awesome puzzle of beautiful Budapest

Challenging puzzle to put together. The pieces are decent quality and the image is excellent. There were no missing pieces.

We vacationed with friends in Budapest and this puzzle brought back alot of great memories

This 500 piece puzzle was fun and entertaining to put together! Not only that, it reminds us of history and places and all that has come before us. Now let me tell you about unboxing. So the Amazon box arrived in a timely manner and the puzzle box inside was fine, no dents or anything. The puzzle box was shrink wrapped so that was removed. Then I opened the box and saw the puzzle pieces. They are sturdy enough, not too flimsy, but also not super high end like some other brands. Just right for the family and you won't cry if someone spills a soda over a couple of pieces. Just wipe them off and they are fine being coated on the top and basic cardboard underneath. The puzzle itself said it was made in Poland, interestingly.Anyway, my practice when I open a new puzzle is to pour all the pieces in a sieve. Yes, like the kind used for draining pasta. Have a clean, dry sieve and pour all the pieces into it. Shake, shake, shake! Remove all the cardboard dust and bits into a clean, dry sink or onto a sheet of waxed paper or newspaper. Be sure to check if any pieces have fallen. Now empty the box also, shaking out any dusty bits. Once that is done, pour the freshened pieces back into the box for sorting and you will have a clean, dust-free experience. This puzzle definitely did benefit from being sifted away from the crumbles. The pieces fit together well, you just have to make really sure you get them connected to the right spot, because there are a lot of pieces that are pretty much the same shape as the others. That's what makes it fun, though. One funny thing - I had gotten the whole border done except for two pieces. I kept working the puzzle, though, even as I was sure I had somehow lost two of the pieces. But just at the very end I found them among the last couple dozen pieces, so I am happy to report that the puzzle was indeed complete and it looks great. Planning to take it apart and enjoy it again in another couple months. This is a keeper.
