It works, you keep hearing loud electrocution however it is effective after sunset obviously during the day it is almost not catching any.There is no switch not a big deal to me as plugs are switched anyway but cable could have been longer especially for garden applications.Some mosquitoes still flying around even in dark where this is supposed to be doing its job so I guess those are the ones just evolved or seeing their folks walking to death row one by one not sure. Also seen a gigantic moth walking out of it with a heart attack as it has been shocked to a degree I guess but did not actually fit through the grill so did die some time later, so viewers discretion not for faint hearted for sure.I believe product is quality made, looks like it and actually very effective (to the limits of physical reality as uv rays won't be distinctive during the day)

Looks great compared to other zappers, the frequent loud zaps and reduction in bugs in the room shows it works, tray at the bottom easy to empty, great stuff. I have been using it for a few days, I did find one larger bluebottle fly walking around the tray at the bottom a bit stunned and not fully dead, so don't know if it is as powerful as it needs to be or if that was just a super fly. Still works though, that guy wasn't in the room anymore or getting out without getting zapped again.

Works really well attracted lots of mozys and flys at night the only thing I didn’t like the lead was to short for something you want to hang up so placing it on a table is the only real option and that leaves lots of dead bugs on the table but all in all did it’s job

Had high hopes that this would help with annoying flies in our kitchen. Reviews seem positive but I found it isn’t that effective as flies are not attracted to the light and our one broke (not sure why) after just two days use. It does give a satisfying ‘crack’ when an insect flies into it, and it did kill some flies, but it’s not an immediate solution and in our case not a solution at all! Disappointing.

I bought this lamp to take to India and it has been absolutely fantastic, I’ve been here almost a month and not had one mosquito bite. I wouldn’t say it’s very portable as it’s quite large, but I had plenty of luggage space so wasn’t a problem. The lamp is very bright so I recommend something to cover your eyes when you sleep, it’s also LOUD when it zaps. Easy to clean, remove the bottom by twisting and pull down the built in “wiper” but I have found a lot of dead mosquito around the lamp so they get thrown when zapped. A very effective device for mosquito control, but bright and loud, the power cable is about 1.5 metres with a 3pin plug.

I bought this mainly for use outside in the garden and like the look of it. It’s light weight and can be hung up. The lead is not long which is fine for indoors and we can use an extension lead to hang it outdoor under a gazebo. It’s very easy to unscrew the base to empty out and seems to do the job very well though not many flies around at the moment. Possibly a little on the expensive side compared to similar products but it’s fairly big, well made and does what I need it to do! It's also silent which is a bonus as well as very good service from the seller.

This zapper works and better in the evening. I left it switched on in the corner of my lounge and got 3 flies withing 15mins!! Tray at the bottom is very easy to unclick and empty.However, my unit seemed defective and after that it switched off and didnt come back on again!!

This is a lethal fly and mosquito killer that works very well.If I had a complaint, it's that the lead is too short (but I have never known a bug zapper which doesn't come with a short lead!).The crack when an insect is zapped is by far the loudest I've heard, but it is very effective.
