Dasco Pro437 Carbon Steel Brick Set, 4-Inch

Good for Sticks of Butter
I bought it to split and sculpt small border wall stone blocks and it didn't even make it through scoring the first one, let alone splitting it. The edge developed significant nicks/pits after just four moderate hits with the hammer. I switched to the Stanley FatMax with shield Stanley 16-334 2-3/4-Inch X 8-1/2-Inch FatMax Masons Chisel with Bi-Material Hand Guard and it held up beautifully after appx 75 hammer blows (some quite heavy) scoring, splitting, and sculpting a number of blocks. After all that, the edge was still in much better condition than the Dasco "Pro." The shield and handle grip on the FatMax worked well and are a bonus. This product is giving the "Made in the USA" logo a bad rap.

Handle was a good fit for me and I am a large fellow
Solid and stayed sharp. I used it to dismantle a brick pillar on our property line, removed and cleaned > 100 bricks and it still has a fair edge on it. Handle was a good fit for me and I am a large fellow. The ones at the local hardware store were too short to grip in my fist but this one fits the bill. You will not regret purchasing this tool.

It worked as well as it could or better for removing tile and mastic
I am giving this product 5 stars because I bought it for the wrong job. It worked as well as it could or better for removing tile and mastic. I wanted to return because I realized I bought the wrong item but didn't have time to research returns. I believe I will be able to use in the future for another project.

What's not to like?
It's a brick set. Whack it with a hammer, stuff breaks. Still sharp after a fair amount of use. It's made in the USA. What's not to like?

Blade is already dinged up pretty good after only a few days at work
Edge is curved on mine so the outsides of the scraping blade make contact but not the center. Blade is already dinged up pretty good after only a few days at work. Using to scrap weld spatter.
