Perfect height, great stool
I rarely write reviews, but since there were only a couple when I bought this stool thought I would add my two cents.I searched all over the internet for an industrial style stool that starts at dining height and raises to counter height. (This stool goes from 19.69-25.59"). My desk is 29.5" tall, I'm long legged, and I wanted to be able to raise the seat when sewing. All the industrial styled stools I could find were just too high starting out, and the shorter stools either weren't adjustable or weren't the style I was looking for.All the way down, this stool starts out at a perfect height for a standard desk. It's well made, sturdy, and looks nice. (My stool has the bar as advertised.) The seat was slightly wobbly until I screwed the bar down to stabilize it. The top is slightly fake wood looking, (see picture) but it's not a $400 stool so I wasn't expecting a Restoration Hardware top. No complaints, happy to have finally found a stool that fit my height requirements, looks great, and didn't break the bank.It shipped faster than expected as well, came in a few days, ahead of what Amazon said the delivery date would be. So that was a nice surprise.Five stars for style, sizing, and fast shipping.

Perfectly priced and excellent industrial / farmhouse bar stools
These bar stools are perfect. I received the stools nicely packed in two separate pieces (the base and the seat) it's as simple as screwing the seat onto the base... that is all. My 10 year old had more trouble removing the stool from the box than actually putting it together. It has the metal piece in the middle that you can use to lock the seat in its position and to stop the seat from rotating. It also has the small plastic stabilizers on the feet to help keep the seat level. These were much better pricing than any other out there. Definitely pleased

Very sturdy. Durable.
I had 3 and ordered 2 more 5yrs later (for larger island) and they are exactly the same. I only wish the seats were solid wood but at this price, they look great.

Good looking bar stool
I purchased this stool to be used as a table for my humidifier in summer and a stool at other times. I'm impressed with the quality and look of the stool and may buy more for my bar. I like the ability to change the seating height for different uses. It is simple to adjust the height and very sturdy.

Great stool, simple to assemble, built to handle the heavy.
Heavily built of thick steel and about 1cm of wood, it's easy to put together (Take the base, set it on the ground upright. Take the seat, and put the crossbar on the screw, then spin it until it's up against the seat. Then screw the seat into the frame, and once you get it to the right height unscrew the crossbar until it hits the frame. Done.)It's 20 inches tall fully screwed down, and I'd say could safely be raised to 26, maybe 27 inches (If you're not heavy)Since it's made of steel and hardwood, it's pretty heavy itself, but that's fine if you're not going to be moving it once it's in place.

Sturdy, attractive, but uncomfortable
I liked the features. The height is mechanically adjustable rather than a pneumatic system that will leak some day. They are heavy and don't slide around unless you want them to. However, the seat is uncomfortable at any height, both on the butt and on the legs. The sharp edge of the seat sticks into the backs of the thighs. Also the base of the legs stick out and we bump our toes on them when we walk up to the stools. Yes, we usually are barefoot or in our stocking feet at home. We have had three of these for a year now and we don't sit on them. We will give them away and get another design.

Mostly my error, but these stools are large enough ...
Mostly my error, but these stools are large enough for a kid under 12. We are average size adults and these are so uncomfortable and will have to pay to send them back.

Great value
I read the reviews before purchasing, but thought this would work for my purchase as I needed a stool at exactly 19" and did not have to worry about feet being placed on the bottom bar (reviews stated uncomfortable). I really loved these stools. I think they are very well made and will work perfectly for my outdoor counter. I'm going to give the tops an extra coat of polyurethane as they will be outside all year long in my screened porch area. I got a discount for purchasing 4 stools as an extra bonus on the price.
