Excellent piece of kit for the gym.We have 3. It is great fun setting the students against each other on a balance challenge.

I wasn't sure how effective this would be but its quite apparent as you try to stand on it for the first time that its working your entire core and legs. This device is super good if you're trying to get better balance or work your core. I felt this working my body as soon as I stepped on it. Ive been using it on my carpet because my balance isn't the best yet, but eventually I'll use it on harder floors to make it more challenging. They also sent a small work out guide with suggestions on how to use it which is appreciated.*The one thing I dont like is that the top is super hard and sort of slippery. Those reviews are correct about having to wear shoes on it.

I got it to be able to do balance board physiotherapy exercises for my injured foot at home. It's a small, cheap solution to the big one they have at the physio centre, but it does the trick. I had no idea there were all kinds of other general fitness exercises you can do with balance boards, so I'm looking forward to exploring more. Reviewers have pointed out that the surface can be slippery. I prefer to use it bare feet and haven't tried it with sports shoes. So far, my feet have been grippy enough so it works for me. I'm happy with my investment.

This is exactly what I needed; however, you'll need shoes to use this as the standing platform is rather slippery. It just needs a grippy stick on and the seller should include some "decal type" for those that need them. Other than that...it works great.

The product description states: "...non-slip textured surface for maximum stability and added strength, you'll feel stable while exercising even when you're sweaty". I call BS. I just got mine. I took it out of the box, put one foot on and it immediately slipped off. To get up on the thing you need to find something to hang onto so you can place both feet safely. I would send this back, but I've already foolish cut up the box and thrown it in the recycling and, in any case, returning stuff is a pain. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
