Great switch to control my well pump!
We work about an hour away from home so I wanted the ability to shut off our well pump using my phone in case there was ever a water leak. This setup is perfect for that! I am using it via my SmartThings hub. Installation was fairly easy if you have electrical knowledge. If you do not have any electrical knowledge I would recommend hiring an electrician. I had it installed in about an hour. As for connecting it to my SmartThings hub, in the instructions it specifically mentions that you may have to move your hub within 10 feet of the box for initial connection, then you can move it further away. In my case this was very true. I had a hard time connecting it to my hub but when I placed my hub a couple of feet away from the box it connected without any problems. I have since relocated my hub back to where I originally had it, about 30 feet away, and it works flawlessly. I also like that there is an external on/off switch on the front of the box should someone with no access to the app need to turn it on or off. An added bonus of this switch is it has a watt meter built into the app (at least it did with the SmartThings app) which is pretty cool. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic pool switch for any smart home!
What this device offers:-a clean, simple box to control multiple 120V or 240V devices-an interface with your smart home devices, which can allow remote control from anywhere-I have it connected with Wink, which allows me to turn the pool on or off with my voice, and has a schedule that will turn the system on and off automatically every day-Peace of mind knowing your pool isn't using electricity when it doesn't have toThis device is worth every penny. It took me about 4 hours (including a couple trips to the hardware store to get some wiring parts I forgot) to set it up, including taking down the electrical box it replaced, but now I can fully automate my outdoor pool pump and salt chlorination system with one device!I found this looking for a better outdoor switch for my 240V Hayward SP pump and new salt chlorinator, which turn on and off together. Before this there was a two-gang box attached to the house which had a covered switch and an electrical outlet that was taped over, so this is a major improvement.Wiring could not be more simple. The four punch-out holes are well placed, although I wish there was one on the top of the box. I know that wouldn't work without making the box bigger, and it may interfere with the wifi antenna, so I understand where there isn't one. I have it mounted directly to brick, and it looks very clean and professional. The screw terminals for the wiring are very robust, and are easy to get to and identify with the clear plastic cover. I have two circuits come in on the left side (boxes right), with the 240V controlled by the box, and the 120 for the pool light passing through to another switch by the pool (which I plan on replacing with a smart switch as well).Connecting it to Wink took a bit of trial and error, as the product isn't listed verbatim in the Wink app, but by selecting a generic GE Z-Wave switch (I think it is the same as the other GE outdoor switch) I was able to have it connected in less than five minutes. Wireless Range seems good; my next closest Z-wave device is a few rooms and about 50' away, so it's nothing crazy, but have had no connectivity issues for two weeks.I have also set the Wink app to turn the pump on and off with a schedule, making it a very robust pool timer. The override button is also super convenient; a short travel tactile button turns the pump on or off when you need to clear the basket of debris, or change the filter, etc. The two lights are also a very clean and clear way to identify if the system works.

Perfect!
So first off, these really should be installed by a licensed electrician. I was able to complete the install myself with some help from a friend who is a journeyman electrician. The instructions give several ways to wire these switches, so you really have to know what you're working with. It's not just a "kill the breaker and follow the color code" type of install, at least it wasn't for me being a 240V install.I installed 3 of these switches to replace some old rotary timers on a commercial property. I used them in conjunction with the Wink Hub 2. Items arrived well packed and damage free. Instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. The exterior housing of the switches is well constructed and seem well weatherproofed. The switch works on both 120V and 240V. The range of the z-wave antenna's was sufficient that I could pair them without relocating either device. Z-wave functionality has been rock solid. No issues at all with pairing or compatibility with the Wink Hub 2. The switches work perfectly with both Wink Robots and the Wink app.My only issue was with the exterior housing. It bent a little on 2 of the 3 switches when I was attempting to hammer out the knockouts for running the wires into the housing. They bent back easily and I'll put that one on myself rather than deduct a star. Two thumbs up, I would definitely buy again!

Failed after a year, but the company sent a new one out
It's a great device. Takes some effort to get it accessible on your phone. You need a STRONG WIFI signal or it will not be accessible, or go in and out. Mine failed after a year, but the company (not Amazon) shipped me out a new one right away because they were aware of an engineering flaw. Anyway, fingers crossed that it is working, but I bought an extra one to have as a spare. I rely on this to shut off my lawn sprinklers when I am away which is very important for me.
