No, this is a dry salted ricotta. Akin to a hard aged cheese like Parmesan.

Yes. Wrap it with heavy freezer wrap and put it in the freezer. We cut ours into wedges so that you can take out what you need, then put the unused portion in the fridge. You can store it for approximately one month in the fridge

Ricotta Salatta...MULTO BUONO!!!

All of the local supermarkets in my area have ceased to carry this wonderful cheese. I was asleep at the switch when I discovered such a huge price differential compared to the local markets. My mother was born in Sicily and this was her favorite cheese. I like it with eggplant fried in olive oil with a marinara sauce, linguine and fresh basil. Of course the Ricotta Salatta is grated over the top. MULTO BUONO!!! The cheese arrived in a cold pack, still very cold to the touch. We divided the round into 1/8 pound wedges and put all but one where each in the freezer. It thaws easily and nicely. I would highly recommend this cheese to anyone who likes cheese.

Moldy

The cheese was moldy... I had to throw it away. It was like throwing $65.00 in the garbage. I was planning on using the Ricotta Salata to make Pasta alla Norma.

superior quality product

This is amazing , quality cheese. I am most thankful for sheeps milk - I have an allergy to dairy from cows. The cheese wheel arrives refrigerated in a styrofoam container within a corrugated box.

I was so happy I finally found it only to be disappointed

The texture of the cheese was off and taste , I've been eating this cheese my whole like and definitely not what I expected. So sad about it cause if buy more if it was what I'm use too !
