Good quality thick tights
These tights are soft, thick and good quality. Perfect for colder weather or to wear with a costume. They are a good skin tone color, not fake looking. They are more opaque than sheer.

Comfortable and sturdy, but not super tight.
I am not a ballerina, I'm a casino cocktail waitress. JC Penney seems to have stopped producing the black "fitness tights" we all love at work, and we're scrambling to find a good replacement. I got this in size M/L to test drive at work. Here's our feedback. They're a true black color, which is important. And at 5'7", bottom heavy with big thighs, I could quickly easily get the M/L on and pull them up almost to my armpits so they have that slimming effect we all like in the tummy area. We all agreed however that they seemed TOO big, and didn't give us the super firm support we like at work. (We want them so tight they hold in the jiggle and hopefully prevent spider veins.) I would never have thought to order a Small/Medium in professional ballerina tights, but maybe I just got a size that's too big. On the plus side, they were comfortable and weren't going to pull my toenails off! Also, they weren't as slick as some tights. I wouldn't' say they're exactly scratchy, but they kind of give off that scratchy whizzing sound when your legs brush together. Again, a smaller tighter size might have prevented my thunder thighs from rubbing together, but as it was, the M/L did not and I was aware of the extra jiggle and coarseness.I only wore them for 4 hours, but in that time I did some deep cleaning at work and crawled around on the floor a bit. They didn't run or snag at all. So bonus points for sturdiness!Another thing I noted is while they're "footed" ballet tights, they didn't have actual foot shaped "feet" like the Danskin did. I've only ordered two pairs of ballet tights, so I'm not sure which I should have expected, but these just look like regular tights with no specially shaped foot area. Not an issue at all for me, but then again I'm not a ballerina and I don't know how important that fact is.I'm not going to return them or throw them out, and I'd recommend them to another waitress if they don't want to wear pantyhose so tight they have to struggle to get in and out of them. But I will consider these my backup pair when I find the perfect brand for my job.

It's All About the Silhouette
When I opened the package and saw how small the unstretched waistline was, I thought "these aren't going to fit" but I was very nicely surprised by how much they stretched without losing their opacity (my legs bruise very easily from both dance lessons and everyday klutziness, but you couldn't see any of them). And like many other reviewers, I tried these after buying a pair of capezio and having problems with the unforgiving waistband. Now here's where my experience differs: in the past several years, I've had significant weight loss (100+ pounds), so I have that excess skin around my middle that's constantly giving me muffin tops. Had this come in a XL size, I think it would have fit well around my middle without that problem, but the M/L, while fitting well everywhere else, still gave me that awkward silhouette at my natural waist. So, like my capezio pair, in order for them to work and look nice, I needed them to be able to wear them high-waisted enough to sit on my ribcage. And they did, giving me the smooth silhouette I wanted. Hurray! Now for the comparison: the material is a lot softer and glides across my skirt instead of feeling like it's rasping across like the capezio pair. The soft waistline also feels much nicer, but is more likely to slide or roll down as I move (thus the one star removal), while the capezio waistline was scratchy to the point of painful after a few hours, it never moved. I plan on wearing these for my next performance with the capezio for backup, so that is where the true test will lie.

Super soft
I loooove these tights. I started adult ballet and needed tights. These aren't sheer like at all, but they're very soft and stretchy! My teacher loves them because she can see the muscles in my legs moving. So thumbs up for these

Great but has some details...
Overall, I think they're very breathable and comfortable. The only issues I have with it are that the tan color is more of an awkward pink tan (it's more pink in person than in photos). I expected the tan to be lighter as well, since it does not match my skintone. Lastly, the fabric seems to pill very easily so beware. It's hard to find a good pair of tights that don't pill. The tights will work for what I bought them for (cosplay, photos), since in photos they seem to look more nude color than in person.

Thick
Love these tights! They looked incredibly small out of package but had great stretch! Only worn them once have not washed but they are a perfect pink for ballet and look durable. Will buy again

These are some of the most comfortable, best fitting dance tights I've found as a tall lady. Nice soft waistband and pretty durable so far. I my last show I was afraid my tights would rip on a particular piece of the set, but while I got a tiny bit of pilling where the set snagged on my tights there were no runs or rips! I'm 5'8" and a US size 8 and usually dance tights are a bit short for me even when I order the largest size. I ordered the M/L in these tights and when I pull them up I find they stretch enough that they would probably fit comfortably on even taller or heavier ladies. I also loaned a pair I hadn't worn yet to a gal who is 5'1" and they still fit pretty well even though she would've fit a S/M better. I think if you're between sizes you should probably get the smaller size since these have so much stretch. I also like the natural tan color a lot - I have fair skin and often the lightest shade in some brands of dance tights is really dark or orange looking on me. I'll definitely be ordering these again.

good quality dance tights.
Came on to Amazon looking for dance tights as an emergency before a ballet show (didn't have time to go the the specialist dance shops). Ordered the tan and the black. The tights arrived very quickly and were actually a couple of pounds cheaper. I was really pleased with the quality of them. I wondered how they could be a size 7-10 years but they are really stretchy. I bought them for my 7 year old and they fit well but I can see that they would stretch to fit an older girl too. The tan ones are a nice shade too, not old lady tan!

Good value
Very happy with these tights - bought for my daughter performing on stage in Annie - so they have to take a lot of stress around the knees including kneeling on the stage. My daughter is almost 10 but wearing size 11 clothes and there is growing room in them, if they last past the end of the run (6 shows).

Nice quality
Bought these for my four year old. She is petite and these fit quite well. The colour was a nice pale colour which is just what we were looking for. So far no bobbling or snagging would buy again.

Good basic tights
My daughter is 10 but tall, so ordered age 11 - 14. They are a snug fit on her so definitely order up a size. They were also a quite orange colour, but look fine on.

Great
Worried about the size, but they were perfect. They were needed for a fancy dress outfit. Would definitely recommend them. I am usually a size 18, or large for tights etc but these were great and very comfortable.
