Optic Care Eye Vitamin with Lutein, Zeaxanthin, A, C, E, Zinc, Copper Potent antioxidants/micronutrients, Proprietary Herbs - Chrysanthemum/Goji Berries

The main ingredients in this are lutein and zeaxanthin. The vitamins and minerals in this are also in every multivitamin, I don't place much value on them since I take a multivitamin daily. Many multivitamins lack lutein. I don’t place much value on Chrysanthemum or think that it will help with eye health, but maybe you do. I think it is a source of trace amounts of lutein, just like how the lutein extract comes from marigold flowers.Considering this is a new brand, at $17, or $0.56 per serving, they are pricing themselves much higher than established reputable brands, such as Now, Doctor’s Best, and Jarrow. Jarrow costs $0.12 per serving for the same quantities of the main ingredients. Even for the small 30 serving bottle, Jarrow is $0.21 per serving. I do not see any reason to pay double or triple for this product.I measured 839mg of powder in two pills, with a claimed 401mg of ingredients. They could have gone with less fillers and only needed one pill for a serving. They might be playing the game where they hope people do not realize it is two pills in one serving.This has the GMP certification seal.The gold standard in this supplement category is PreserVision, because they did the early clinical research using their formulation.

Wanted to try something that contained more than just 20 mg of Lutein by itself to see if I would get better results than with Lutein alone, and these sounded like a good combination.In my hast to order - as I was close to out of my Lutein, I didn't realize that this is only a 30 day supply and not a 60 day supply - which would have made the price reasonable. And it's two medium size capsules as well. My little Lutein gel caps are tiny, easy to swallow and I only need one per day. So I probably won't order this product again - unless it really makes a noticeable different, which it hasn't so far...

The media could not be loaded.  This arrived well sealed ... the plastic around the neck is form fitting and is destroyed to open it.The seal is tight and is destroyed when opening.There is cotton inside and mine has a lot of yellow powder in it from the capsules ... perhaps one is loose/open.60 tabs .. 2 a day .. almost 60 cents daily (these tiny amounts add up fast!)I have seriously bad eyes ... from childhood .. so hoping these help with continued damage.

I like these softgels. They really do help me with my eyesight. But I wish there was more lutein in them.

I have the earlier stages of macular degeneration and want to dig a bit and try varied formulations based on the AREDS Age-Related Eye Disease Study, the original and version 2. This looks pretty close --Component. It looks like the only other gap between Vytanutra Optic Care and Areds 2 might be vitamins E and C. I can make up the vitamin C to an extent with oranges and cranberry juice, and the vitamin E with peanut butter, avocado and eggs. I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't go "full Areds" on this formulation, but it's pretty close.The capsules are lightweight and note, the daily dose is achieved by 2 capsules, not one.

This is a good group / good quality combination.The Lutein and Zeaxanthin aren't quite as high of potency's as with some higherpriced products but not under much, and very good in this price range.>>> Of course they're known for protecting / maintaining healthy cells in the eyes.And filter harmful high energy blue wave links of light.(of the 600 carotenoids found in nature only these two are foundin high quantities in the retina of the eye)The vitamin C and vitamin E are natural and surprisingly the Zinc and Copper are chelated..All four are 100% or more of the DV.These are in a vegetable capsule that's medium size and easy to swallow.2 daily = 30 days

I got these since I have floaters for the past couple of years now. And also dry eyes. Using just lubricating tears was not sufficient. Wanted a supplement with clean, balanced ingredients that would also be a good price. And these fit the bill. The capsules are easy to swallow, a dose is 2 capsules and it's taken once a day. I didn't find that any of the ingredients gave me any stomach issues. Also, I feel like I wake up with my eyes feeling less grainy and more rested. Floaters do settle after a while but new ones come up too. I found they seemed to settle a bit quicker on taking these and also, that newer ones seemed to be slowing down. I will continue use.
