Great product. Terrific customer service. from Solaray
I bought this nifty flashlight for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and uses it every night when he walks our dog on our dark, country roads.About a week ago, he noticed that the lens had fallen off. Chances of finding it somewhere along their long and varied paths—even without the ice and snow—were next to impossible.I first called the seller, Natural Brands—LLC at the contact number indicated on my Amazon order. It was Saturday, so I left a message stating my problem and asking what could be done. I did not expect to hear back before Monday at the earliest, but a very nice man called me back on Sunday afternoon and told me how to reach Solaray online and that he was confident that they would be able to help.I went to the website (solarayproducts.com) and filled in the contact information. (If you go via google, I suggest you put solaray flashlight in the search bar. Otherwise, you’ll be taken to a vitamin company.)The next day I received a very nice reply from Steffanie M., Director-Customer Service, Natural Brands, LLC, Manufacturer of SOLARAY Flashlights. It was not a form letter. Instead, she responded to my particular situation (dog-walking husband and all) and said that, although they do not sell replacement parts, a replacement was already on its way to me.I received it the mail a couple of days later. What a great company. And what a great product.

Maybe 300 lumens - nowhere near what is advertised
I had two issues with this product:1) The power button on the mini light did not work.2) The main light is nowhere near as bright as advertised. I fully charged the battery and took it outside to check it out. I compared it with a Nightrider Lumina variable brightness bike light, as well as a Black Diamond Storm headlamp. As far as I can tell, the brightness on this light is in the range of 250-300 lumens. Definitely not worth what Solaray is charging for this light. The build quality of the light seems great. It's very solid. The packaging was also nice and would make a good gift. I liked that it came with two LiIon batteries, as well as the 3xAAA adapter. If the light were as bright as advertised I would have been quite happy with it. But the brightness is the main thing for this light, and it just didn't have it at all.

Not a bad light... Very portable, and shocking brightness for its size
So far, it's ok... Nothing super spectacular... But its lasted for about 6ish weeks, which is better than the last flashlight I bought (different brand and model and from a different seller, turned out to be a total nightmare and waste of money), which only lasted 2 weeks, with absolutely no abuse. I should say though, I've already gone through 3 batteries (I'm using the Amazon Basics brand of AA, disposable batteries) so far with this light. I could understand going through maybe 1 battery, since I did play with it a little, and had to show it off to my brothers a bit. Just seems like they should last a little longer with how short of a time I have it turned in the evenings, like maybe 5-10 minutes, and probably closer to 5.I would change a few things about the design if given the opportunity. I would add a short lanyard with a carabiner to it, so you could "leash" it to a belt loop, keychain, suitcase, or purse or something.I would also move the attack/glass-breaker ridges to the other end, away from the sliding zoom piece. Not only would the zoom slider, if it was extended, dampen a first strike (which would be especially bad if that was your only opportunity), but it also leaves the convex lense vulnerable to scratching or breaking if you ever had to use the light as a window breaker. All in all though, for such a teeny-tiny, ultra concealable, flashlight that I can take in just about any situation, including a tuxedo, this little thing is actually pretty sweet. I will most likely be getting a couple more on payday.

Failed on second use
First use, really not particularly bright, unless you want an incredibly small area iluminated. It concentrates a strong beam on a space the size of a postage stamp.Second use, immediately failed. Changing out batteries did not resolve this issue. It's not worth it to bother returning this.Find another, better product. I have a back up due to my work, but having only a failed flashlight when needed is a terrible spot to be in.

Great Price and Compact
This doesn't put out as much light as I like, but it does a good job for a small, compact, one battery light. We use it two or three times a night because we have to check for skunks or opossums before letting dogs out. I like the same light, but longer with two batteries. However, those have tripled in price, so this does the job.

5 Years And Still Strong
Excellent light for indoors and outdoors, close and far, flood and beam and everything in between. The main flashlight has 2 brightness settings, fast and slow strobe features and an adjustable beam. The little one is sitting in my car's console ready to go. I've owned mine since December 2016 and both of the lights still work like new. Customer service is great. Had a problem with a button on the little light and they sent me a new one and quickly!

You get what you pay for.
The Solaray mini-pro 1 appears to be very durable and made with good quality material. The lumens seem right, as advertised. There is three different modes with; bright, dull and strobe. The zoom operation, in my opinion, could be a little better. The front bezel slides back and forth with very minor resistance and just a slight bump, changes your light distribution. The belt/pocket clip appears sturdy, but, very difficult to use. The cooling fins make it hard to clip into a pocket or on a belt. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Larger flashlight is amazing and uses one of the 2 18650 batteries
Received the flashlight set as a gift. Charger was DOA, but customer service sent out a new one right away and it works perfectly. Larger flashlight is amazing and uses one of the 2 18650 batteries. The smaller one is nearly as bright and uses a conventional AA cell. Both VERY BRIGHT and have an SOS and fast strobe feature. In the fully focused mode, I can see into our tree stand in the back yard about a 1/10th of a mile no problem. Very well constructed and we'll see how they hold up, but so far I'm very impressed with these flashlights and the Solaray company for the excellent support!
