I love this activity for kids
I love this activity for kids. Great rainy day thing to do. Gave it 4 stars because you can get it for less money at a Michaels Store.

Fun designs!
I found this kit at a local craft store. I paid five dollars for it. For that price, it's pretty good. When we opened ours, the paper was curled at each end, so it was difficult for the kids to work with at times, but they didn't let that dampen their enthusiasm. The stencils are pretty delicate, just made of thin cardboard, but the details make the kids feel like real artists. The problem with the stencils, though, is that while most of the shapes stay on the main page, some of the shapes pop out and if you lose the little piece, you lose the details. (See picture of sun and candy- those had more details but got lost.)An adult or older child should punch out the stencils because they do rip easily. The included wooden tools are a big help with popping out the tiny details.Overall I'm happy with the kit- especially for the cheaper price!

Worst kids project purchase I've ever made!
Not a good pick unless you want to get your kids really excited about doing this activity and then watch them cry when they puncture holes through the stencil sheets - or stop and spend 45 minutes yourself as an adult to get through poking out the intricately cut badly scored stencils on all four sheets. I thought this would be a great creative exercise to give to my daughter and some friends she had over to keep them busy - and provide blank scratchable sheets and stencils if they wanted to do more than free-form drawing. The stencils look cool on pack, so the kids want to use them. But as an adult it takes about 20 minutes to get through poking out the holes one one of four sheets to actually MAKE THE STENCILS. You get badly scored thin cheap cardstock - the stencils rip, resultinig in an all-around negative experience. I would have stopped mid-way through one sheet, but the pressure was on with the kids wanting to use them. Cheap quality stencils = totally deceptive to what you think you're buyinig based on what's on-package, which looks like pre-cut thin plastic in different colors. The scratchable sheets themselves are also poor quality, you just have to barely touch one for the stuff to scratch off. Bad purchase. Regrets, regrets, regrets.
