SonyMPK-URX100A Underwater Housing - Black

I love my Sony RX100M4 and so, when I was heading on holiday and planning to do a spot of diving this year, I had to find an underwater housing that fit it so that it could come with me. I'm not a serious underwater photographer and haven't splashed out on strobes or anything like that, so I wanted a relatively straight-forward housing that would enable me to get some great shots.The housing looks pretty good and I found it well-balanced in the hand. You have to remove the lanyard, if you use it, from your camera in order to pop it in the housing as there isn't huge amounts of room to spare, (which I wouldn't want - I don't need unnecessary bulk!), but this takes all of a few seconds. The housing has its own, larger, lanyard for peace of mind when using it.All of the functions that we required were very easily accessible via the housing and the large shutter release button is fantastic. We only used the built-in flash with the provided diffuser but, as most of our photos were taken in 10-12m water during sunny morning dives we've had nice, bright resulting photos. I am unable to comment upon using slaved strobes with the other attachments as this wasn't something that we used.I liked the fact that the housing has a double o-ring which gives peace of mind. The hinge and clasp work very well, allowing easy access when fitting the camera. The only thing to watch out for - as stated by the instructions - is that the rubber cog that's added onto the front of the camera is seated correctly. This can be checked whilst the case is still open.Overall I would highly recommend this case for the casual underwater photographer.

Great case, I bought for my Sony rx100 m3, allows full functionality of the camera, looked at other makes but went for the Sony branded case in the end. It has allowed me to turn my camera into an all weather and water capture device which has great quality. Would recommend

Hallo zusammen,ich war bis vor ein paar Wochen sehr zufrieden mit dem Gehäuse. Ich nutze es seit 1,5 Jahren und bis auf die Eigenschaft, dass das Gehäuse leicht verkratzt, ist mir nichts negative aufgefallen.Jetzt kommt allerdings der Teil, den ich als Frechheit empfinde. Sony empfiehlt den Tausch der O-Ringe nach einem Jahr. Der Verkauf der O-Ringe findet über einen Partner EET-Europarts statt. Der Preis des O-Rings liegt aktuell bei 26€. Ihr braucht 2 Stück, macht 52€ plus 16€ Versand. Das macht in Summe 68€ für zwei Kunststoffringe, die einen Produktionspreis von wenigen Cent haben und die ihr jährlich tauschen müsst. Ich rate daher dringend vom Kauf des Gehäuses ab. Ich habe mir bereits beim Sony Support beschwert und warte noch auf deren Feedback. Bevor jedoch noch jemand in diese Kostenfalle läuft, wollte ich euch wissen lassen, dass ihr dies berücksichtigen solltet. Ich werde noch über das Feedback von Sony berichten.

I used it for a Sony RX100 IV. Worked very well. Went up to 40m with no problems. All controls worked with ease
