Q: Is it true that the the bottom is removable and there is extra product there??

Yes and I did not realize that until you asked this question. The product in the removable bottom has a better consistency than the tube - just my opinion. I had stopped using this but will use the extra product in the bottom. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
