Others are still selling it at $10.00. Why** A: Probably cause we are in deer season & demand is higher **Q: How does this affect the native soil?** A: Don't understand what you mean? It will dissolve into soil and add mineral to it. Nothing that would improve mineral base. **Q: Will this work on blacktail and elk?** A: This product did not work for me to attract whitetail nor axis deer. I doubt it will work for blacktail or elk. **Q: What is the color of this stuff. If you dump it on the ground will you notice it** A: It is white but when you spread it on the ground it says to pour water on it so that it starts to dissolve into the ground and not just run off. I cleared off a 4 by 4 area all the way down to dirt like it said on package. Had a group of 4 come in and stay for an hour. Make sure you dump water on the product after placing it in the dirt.Update: it’s been 3 months since I put this first bag out and I’m still getting on average 3 to 4 deer per night coming into the yard and digging up the dirt and eating it. I’ve never seen a product attract deer for this period of time.
