K&N Aerosol Air Filter Oil

I’ve used K&N filter oil for years, and the aerosol version is hands‑down the best way to apply it. The spray goes on evenly, gets deep into the pleats, and completely eliminates the mess and guesswork that comes with the squeeze bottle. With the squeeze bottle, it’s easy to over‑oil or end up with streaks — but the aerosol gives a consistent, fine mist that coats the filter perfectly every time. It’s also way more convenient. Just shake, spray, and you’re done. No wiping drips, no stained gloves, no trying to squeeze oil into tight pleats. The can lasts a long time, and the coverage is excellent. If you’re maintaining a K&N filter, the aerosol is absolutely worth it. Cleaner, faster, and far more precise. I won’t go back to the squeeze bottle again.

I bought a can 1/2 the size at my local car shop for more money. The quality of K&N products are great. This spray makes renewing a filter easy and the instructions are clear. Also makes it cleaner and neat for a better appearance upon application of the product.

I think the one I got is the newer version. It sprays wider and easy to apply. But the nozzle drips and it’s kinda annoying. Other this, I have no complaints

The K&N air filter oil aerosol can (12.25 oz) is a standard spray can with a good nozzle for even application. The oil itself is a reddish tint that shows up clearly when you apply it. I've used it a couple of times now to re-oil the reusable filter in my work truck after cleaning—perfect for the dusty construction environments around Kansas City. A light, even spray penetrates the pleats nicely, restoring that tacky grip that catches dirt without over-saturating. In real use on site, the truck pulls better with cleaner airflow, and I've noticed no drop in performance or weird sensor issues. Positive aspects are that the aerosol makes application fast and mess-free compared to pour-on oils, a little goes a long way (this will last multiple services), and it does exactly what it's designed for on K&N filters. Negatives is you still need to clean the filter thoroughly first (no shortcuts), and overspray can be sticky if you're not careful in a tight engine bay. Compared to generic oils, this one is formulated specifically and performs reliably. Six weeks and a couple of applications in—truck runs strong. Essential if you run a K&N.
