STAUB cast iron salt pig - a perfect gift!
This is the 5th STAUB salt pig I have purchased. Kept 2, one black and one graphite grey, round and oval. The rest have all been gifts to friends & family. They appreciate them. They're eye candy but also useful. I use them for MALDON finishing salt at the table. Was very surprised to find a new one for a fantastic price of $53.58 from Amazon.uk (Amazon Global Store.) Fast shipping as well. Prior purchases were all from Ebay.

La marque Staub est la meilleure, grande qualité, esthétique et les plats sont parfaitement mijotés. La qualité made in France alors que les autres marques font fabriquer en Chine...consommons local voir européen.

Süß und kleiner als ein Tempo, aber wird nicht von meinem Induktionskochfeld erfasst (zu klein)
Der Topf sieht toll aus, und ist winzig klein, etwa so groß wie eine zierlichen Frauenhand. Ein Tempo geht ohne zu knicken nicht rein. Ideal für winzige Sachen, kleine Saucen oder geröstete Nüsse zum Servieren.Leider wird der Topf mangels ausreichender Größe von meinem Induktionskochfeld (AEG) nicht erfasst, obwohl er sehr magnetisch ist. Meine anderen Staub-Töpfe, alle deutlich größer, werden sofort erkannt und man kocht prima in ihnen. Ich habe auch das runde 10cm-Pfännchen von Staub, das ebenfalls von meinem Induktionsfeld erkannt wird. Vermutlich ist der ovale Topf zu schmal.Ich werde den kleinen Topf dennoch behalten, weil er so süß ist und ich sowieso viele Sachen koche und dann bis zum Servieren im Backofen warmhalte.
