How well does this muffle the noise from drives? And how well does it dissipate heat? Thank you.

Drives are fairly silent. I have two on top of each other and found that placing them on a firm foam pad insulated some bussing sound that was transferred to my desk and barely hear them now. Very solid enclosures and no issues for years and 4 drives.

Can this be powered by the usb-c connection, or does it require the separate 12v power supply?
