I was looking for a way to secure the bed of a 2017 RAM 1500. Did quite a bit of research and settled on this when I saw the neighbor down the street with one rolled up on his truck. The price was right and shipping was quick. Construction is solid and all parts arrived and fit my truck perfectly. Installation was a breeze and I'm not exactly what most people would consider handy with tools. So far, it's kept the truck bed bone dry thru heavy thunderstorms even when going down the interstate. Looks good too. I haven't had it long enough to rate it on durability but might come back in a couple of years and update. My goal with this purchase was to secure the truck bed so I could store items in there without fear of theft. Mission accomplished.

I Like the cover overall! The clamps for the side rails must be torqued to 10ft lbs! Instructions say no more than that, but for the install on this Ram 2500 powerwagon they needed to be torqued to the 10 ft lbs spec! The cover will not properly open or close otherwise! The only real con is the plastic snap on covers at the corners on the tailgate. They will come off or break immediately. I suggest taking them off before installation of the cover so they don’t get broken. Using some adhesive strategically placed on the covers underside and reinstalled later should help. Most likely they’ll come off and you’ll lose them, if u don’t take the time to secure them properly. Great cover overall!!

Easy to install . I installed in about 40 minutes. Cover just barely fits . Latches rub making it difficult to open . Plastic tabes when cover is closed that cover tailgate crack between bed and tailgate break off easily . I haven't been able to talk to representative to see if they are replaceable.

Had one in the past and it is awesome. Got one on here it said it would fit my truck. It was coming from shop eddies.When I went to install it it was 2 inches too wide. I requested a refund they approved it but said I have to pay for shipping. So I had amazon contact SHOP EDDIES and they said I ordered the wrong part. I told them no it said it would fit my truck. Magically after I requested a refund the description was changed and now it says it don’t fit my truck. When you request a refund you have to check a box as to why you want a refund. Wrong part was ordered was the closest thing to my issue. And note I had to check a box to continue with the refund process. So a few days of going back and forth threw email with SHOP EDDIES and them telling me I ordered the wrong part. And me and amazon telling them they should be responsible since they sent the wrong one. They said well read your description your 2022 is not in the description. And I never told them I drive a 2022 and that just let me know that they know what they took out of the original description. And on top of that the original description and the packing slip and the description on the printout from the refund were all different. But SHOP EDDIES swore I ordered the wrong part. But amazon was great with trying to help. I ended up paying $130 to return it then was given my money back by amazon. So great product just don’t buy it if it’s being sold by SHOP EDDIES.

This is my second one and the other one on the truck I sold is going strong after 7 years. This model is even better with heavier vinyl and better hardware. Only thing I would change is the plastic covering over the rear latching mechanism. One of them has already cracked and broken, but doesn't affect function at all. I love how you can roll it up and fully utilize the bed in about 30 seconds. Highly recommended.

After much research and watching online reviews, the Bak hard rolling cover seemed to be the one for my 2022 Ram 3500. Installing the rails was no issue but when it came time to fit the cover on, it was pretty ugly. Bolts to hold the front barely aligned with rail slots, rubber seal on back end of rails peeled off with the first close of the tailgate, and back of cover would not latch. Contacted Bak tech support who was super helpful, verified I have the right cover, and gave me some suggestions on how to ajust the latches for better fitment. They also told me that these 5th Gen Rams have a little bit of a tapered bed but with proper adjustment, it will work perfectly, just like the advertise. After a couple hours of trying to adjust the cover, it still wouldn't latch and would bind in the rails when rolling. Also, the little plastic corner covers at the rear basically fell of on the first time. Had different mechanics look at it in our shop and no one could get it to roll or latch properly. VERY disappointing from what is supposed to be the top hard rolling bed cover. Again tech support was super helpful but just wouldn't fit right on the truck. Oh and the tailgate seal seems to be worthless, looked from the inside out with everything aligned and it was not even touching anything. Even tried it on another 5th gen Ram 1500 and same issues. Build quality seems decent but fitment is worse than poor. Unfortunately these covers won't be the solution for our fleet. Returning and going back to search for another hard rolling bed cover...

Nice product but will not work if you have a bed cover. The bed cover has rails that narrows the bed preventing the bed extender from flipping inside.

This is the only way to go, I bought a TriFold unit and it's a pain in the xxx to go forward. This is way more expensive but if you plan to keep the truck for a few years, then go for this unit
