I ordered two. My head is big, and I have a thick texture hair even though it’s short, but not that bald short. I had black brown hair, and I wasn’t paying attention to “what color” it’ll show once it gets “blonde” but it turned the color I have now, and I used a permanent color box to blend my textures out more. I loved how it turned out I wish I bleached it one more time to get the color I really wanted, but it’s okay next time I’ll go for a lighter look after it grows at some more. The texture of my hair afterwards was still holding up, and it was very soft!

Expectations met

My hair is thick and black. Bleaching without damaging it is a marathon. The first time I followed the instructions time, the result was red hair, second time I achieve a burned yellow and in the photo is my third and most recent attempt to get it right, however, the result was still brassy and orangish. To reach this final result I had to leave the bleach it for 60 min plus 10-15 min application, AND immediately after the entire treatment, I used purple shampoo and conditioner to remove the brass and finally sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide to clear it as much as I could.It is very difficult to achieve white hair color DIY without the extreme risks of permanent damage. Even when this product promises the most platinum-blond result when the hair is already blond. Nevertheless, the after-bleach mask is really good. This brand has a protectant serum to add to the bleach and activator blend which grants the hair hydration during the process and compared to other pre-measured products, it works well. Still, achieving white hair color DIY seems to be impossible.

My hair is super fine and porous, so it wasn't unexpected that this took me all the way from dark brown to a pale yellow-blonde. What is surprising is that while things did heat up during processing it didn't bother my sensitive scalp and my hair didn't come away from this process feeling dry and stiff! I was bleaching about 2-3 inches of regrowth, then brought down the bleach to lighten up color lingering in the length of my hair, and even my already processed hair didn't feel any worse than it did when I started. I'm impressed!

I have an asymmetric bob- just barely chin length in front, just about top of my neck in back, sides are shaved and my hair is super fine yet I didn't have enough bleach mixture to cover all my hair. I'm currently in the processing stage, so I don't know how well this will actually lighten, but for the price I expected to have more than enough to adequately cover my hair.ETA: I used this to lighten my hair so I could try a couple pastel colors. I don't remember what color it was when I used this, but it lightened sufficiently for a nice pastel pink, pastel purple and pastel blue. It did not lighten my hair to this white/platinum level- but that wasn't what I expected. I've been dying my hair for a couple decades and for those that want to lighten your hair to let a pretty shade take hold, this will do, but it will leave your hair porous (and a bit damaged) so those pretty colors may need touching up often. Good conditioning, a protein mask and good shampoo for chemically treated hair is crucial. Also maybe a color sealant if you don't change colors often. I don't think this is a good product for people wanting that bleach blonde/platinum look, so please consult a professional if you want to go that route.

The hair dye was by far the best. I bought for my daughter's hairwhim is mixed( latina, black). I did highlights, this is by far the best and it didn't damage her hair. Also it actually took to her hair type.
