This product is a great idea, easy, essentially painless, and a tenth of the cost to have it done.There were a couple of problems using it, though. I've never before had piercings so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It's very difficult to place the needle in the desired spot, and then it's easy for it to slip, especially on the first one when I didn't have a "feel" for working the plunger. I hit the right place but didn't press hard enough and so I had to push it further, resulting in some pain and getting the stud too tight. The second one went in better but I was a couple of millimeters off target - not enough to really matter.I'm pleased with the result, pending successful healing. I would, however, strongly suggest having help when you do it.Would buy this again if I needed to.

I will never pay for another ear piercing at a shop again. It was completely painless (I promise). Quick and efficient. No real directions but super simple anyways. They came in packaged and sterilized. The earrings themselves aren’t “cute” but are basic ones most people get for their first earrings anyways. So far so good and im super happy with this kit!Pointers: definitely have someone help if you can to make sure it’s being pierced straight. I did mine alone but it would have been much easier to do it with a helping hand. Mark where you want the earring on your ear before using the gun to make sure you actually like the placement of the earring. I would personally use these mainly for lobe earrings just because I’m not sure about using this for cartilage. I have cartilage piercings and I’m not sure the strength of these could break through cartilage but maybe they can?
