What a beautiful vase this is! Designed by Roman Kvita, and recipient of several design awards, the visual effect is one of bubbles cascading and rising through water, an impression heightened when the vase is placed in a window and backlit by the sun. The scooped indentations in the glass act as little lenses that draw in a reduced image of the opposing side, greatly adding to the visual excitement. It's really quite stunning.This is moulded, rather than cut crystal glass, as is obvious by the asking price. It's a heavy piece, so very stable with it. It looks good however you fill it, but is best displayed holding just a few stems, thereby maintaining the translucency of the glass.I really love this vase, and having bought it my existing plain glass vases now just look - plain. They're off to the charity shop next week. This Nachtmann Sphere vase more like a piece of art, and at the price being asked seems incredibly good value to me. I highly recommend it!
