Why can't this pump be shipped to California?

Will this pump run off a lawn mower battery? I am wanting to put it on a tank sprayer and connect the wiring to the mower battery.

Yes if it is a riding type lawnmower but it draws a lot of amps so may not be able to run for a long period of time

Which port is the inlet and which one is the output? I see one has an arrow. I would assume that's the output but someone mentioned they are reversed.

Yes the way the arrow points is an indicator for the flow through your pump. We haven't heard of the arrows being reversed.

Is this chlorine safe?

I use it for soft wash cleaning and go through thousands of gallons of chlorine with it over its lifetime. You need to flush it out well with water after each use or end of day to keep it running properly. I typically get about 6-9 months of almost daily use out of mine.
