Faber-CastellFaber Castell 8 Pitt Black

I've used Pitt pens for years, now and while I sometimes wish the gray hues came in different widths than the brush tip, that's my only complaint of the line as a whole. The ink has good strength and they last longer than many felt tip pends.As for this set in particular, the variety is exceptional! How many wide brushy-type tips do I need? This many, apparently. The SB in particular is wonderfully fluid and encourages bold, graceful movements when drawing. The tiniest point allows me to stipple endlessly for all the persnickety detail I usually favor.I will say that they don't appreciate cheap paper. The difference between the results on a bookstore sketchbook and decent bristol is night and day, but that's to be expected, I suppose. And they're never bad, exactly, no matter how badly I cheap out on my sketchbooks. I just find myself turning to the heavier stock and doing more finished pieces than I intended, which is no bad thing.

Was able to get a few lines on the paper before the XS, S, F and M pens became unusable and completely dried out. They still have ink in them because when I shake them there is ink in the cap but for some reason the nib is completely dried out.

I love these pens and always use them when I’m drawing.

I used the Fabre-Castell SB pen in store and instantly fell in love with how smooth it was. In the arts store it was only available in a pack of other pens id already owned but here I got the pen I wanted along with others I don’t have like the B, SC, and 1.5. Look forward to getting to know these a lot more and creating.Great value for the bundle as well. It was only a few dollars more than the pen solo and you get 7 other pens.

Another set from Fabel-Castell that surprises me. The quality is extremely good.
