I kid you not--this suction-mounted, stainless steel hook remains in place on my porcelain shower tiles. In place!Like many others, I long ago gave up on the dream that a non-plastic suction hook could remain in place for more than 30 seconds (or the time it takes to crush your dreams of an organized bath area) on smooth, porcelain tiles. After buying a new organic, vegan, seaweed-based facial loofah (FYI: I don't recommend that loofah) that came with its own plastic suction hook, I once again felt those age-old stirrings for a more attractive hook. Despite years of suction cup heartbreak, I began trolling Amazon and came across Gecko-Loc's Stainless Steel suction hook. The comments were alarmingly positive, so, despite what I assumed must be a conspiracy of naïve fools, I took a chance and bought it. In all honesty, I think I wanted it to fail so that I could write yet another insightful and biting critique of suction cup technology.Well, you could have knocked me over with a plastic hook when I installed this substantial, metal hook and it STAYED!! In place!! On a tile!! Pushing aside my initial euphoria, I reminded myself about the evil nature of suction cups, so I watched and waited for that hook to fall (my life priorities are clearly in order). But, after more than a week it STILL hasn't fallen! Just sit with that knowledge for a moment: a heavy duty steel hook held aloft only by a suction cup remains in place on a tile in my house somewhere in America. This is what it feels like to live the dream.After much soul-searching and many passionate diary entries, I decided to write this review because I am now a believer and a changed woman. In fact, I will be ordering two more hooks after I finish writing this. I'm not sure I actually need two more hooks in that shower, but I'm clearly intoxicated with the knowledge that anything I hang will remain hung. Most of all, I want these hooks to remind me that dreams do come true.(P.S. I'm posting two pictures that I used in the mass-text that I sent to about 100 people about my suction hook conversion. I got these for mounting on a tempered glass shower divide. I've tried several hooks and didn't like the unsightly command strips (although they worked). I didn't expect this to work, but it's been up for 3 months and hasn't fallen once. I hang a full size towel on it. I have taken off and moved positions and it seems to work just fine. Knock me over, I'm impressed with this. I just knew it would fall off, but it hasn't.I'm not sure if it would work on a textured tile, but this works great on glass. I will say if you have any sort of coating on glass to prevent dirt or water spots it will make things hard to stick. We had that in our last house and couldn't get anything to stick to it.

We are using these hooks to hang light things like loofah and body sponge on our bath ceramic tile wall and the suction power is not bad, but it's not that good either. My wife and I made a competition on who can tighten it and make it last longer without falling; and I think you can guess who won...! My wife did as it fell after a month when I first install it and then my wife did it by her own and it lasted for six months!! So, you may end up installing it twice a year.Hope this helps creating you own competitions and keep us updated.

Exactly what I was looking for. My husband likes to have a small hand towel (using as a wash cloth) in the shower and didn't have a place to hang it up.I had my doubts about the suction ability but the Gecko-Loc didn't disappoint. It didn't work on the tiles though, but I attached it to the inside of the glass shower door and it didn't come off once.Highly recommended!

I wanted to hang a shower caddy in the opposite side from the shower spigot, and was looking for a strong and durable enough alternative to putting a hole in the wall. I gave this a shot, since it claims to hold up to 22 lb. It's a rather large caddy, and has been hanging in my shower with bottles of product weighing it down, and hasn't budged. Hopefully this means it will stay put, and I've found the answer to my problem.

I ordered three of these, one for the squeegee in each of my showers. I've had the plastic suction cup hooks which never stay up. I figured these sounded like they might actually work.Three showers, and about two months later, two of them are still securely on the ceramic tile wall. One of them - well, let's says that bathroom must be the problem child. This Gecko-Loc suction cups isn't staying on the wall in that bathroom. Two out of three is pretty good.

Good quality product. Installation CAN be tricky. It must be on a flat, clean surface and some spots on vinyl shower stalls appear flat but are not. Smart people easily figure it out. Packaging is excessive but they include a cleaning towelette and a double sided adhesive sticker for applications on surfaces that won't work for suction cups.

Gecko-Loc is a great company. Have used their shower products many times. Top quality. Easy install. Great suction. Highly recommend!

Bought this to hang a back scrubber brush and a loofah. It was easy to assemble and is holding strong on the wall of our glass shower. We tested it with towels and it held as well. Nice design to go with any decor.

I purchased the large basket for my shower and liked it so much, that I bought another large basket for my upstairs shower and this for hanging my microfibre hair wrap in the shower. The suction holds in the shower without fail. Highly recommend.

Strong! Definitely need to wipe the tile or surface with alcohol wipes before installing... came loose a couple times from temperature changes before it decided to be stable.Great now tho!!

I’ve had this for a year and I can honestly say it’s great. It does exactly what I wanted it for & holds up very well. I totally recommend it.

The screw bit definitely has a bit of feel of cheap plastic ness but it's holding tight to the shower wall and looks decent there. I've been tightening a twist once a day for a few days and no place for it to go now.
