Htc vive pro vr kit, steam compatible. Great!
Great vr for steam fsx (flight simulator).Flyinside is an add on to make fsx vr compatible. Google it. Worth it. Be aware the default flight is a microlight 1000ft above a tropical island. Easy on a monitor but the scale and precarious feeling in vr takes some getting used to. I managed to land without ejecting my dinner though. Suggest use a 747 jumbo jet first, with all that metal around you , you feel more secure.Try it! You won’t look back!

Well made with sharp image
I purchased this item after my HP Reverb G2 died soon after the warranty expired. It is well made, apart from rather more 'god rays' than the Reverb has excellent high resolution image quality if your PC can drive it. Sound is not so good and I have found my Sony head-phones more satisfactory after (easily) removing the built in speakers. Perhaps 'sour grapes', but I feel that the unit is not worth the full asking price of £1400.00 after a sale price purchase fell through due to an error and HTC would not consider selling at the sale price after I explained the problem. Black Friday prices are realistic if you can get them. Web search suggests that it is a reliable unit unit compared to my previous headset. One point: if you have been used to thumbstick style controllers for VR, then I think you will find the Vive wands rather clumsy. I would suggest buying just the headset and considering the Valve Index controllers and possibly saving a little money.

Arrived but base station was faulty from the word go
The vive pro was good on the whole but with one of the base stations arriving faulty wrecked the experience as a whole so it ended up being sent back for a refund it took over 2 weeks to get the money back which was annoying and I had to check the tracking number to find out if it had arrived safely or not as no email was received to say if it had arrived or not till 2 weeks later felt let down a little

Very enjoyable has a few issues butr mainly my opinion
Loving using this kit quality is very good controllers fill good ( i do actually prefer the oculus rift ones but these are good)Much easier to install in some ways i had the original occulus right that has several sensors all with a usb cable so you needed lots of sockets with this you just need one USB 3 and a display port which is great. My biggest disapointment is the lengh of the cable from the unit to the headset is 5m i would of loved a 5m extstion to exsiting or a 10m replacment would be so much better ( i did see a 20m one on there site but that was nearly £600)

Defective hardware, multiple upgrade cycles, non existent guidance on how to set up the kit
After each element of the kit went through a number of upgrade cycles one of the base stations was showing a 'blinking red light'. This appears to be a known error with no official guidance on how to resolve. The community have various hacks to 'fix' it going back several years. All very amateurish for a supposedly top of the range product.Unless you fancy hacking around json files and potentially bricking your unit stay clear of this utter trash product.
