Loved this series, sad to see it end, but goes out with a great open endingSamantha and Jake land in the middle of nowhere. Kitten quickly follows. They run into two young fae from Lunos, looking for one of their fathers, who disappeared 9 months ago looking for humans who have been kidnapped from their realm.Asher and Cassis catch up. Cassis, is a very different male than Sam knows. The young fae know were the humans have been taken are. Cassis plans to go undercover in the mine to save them. Sam refuses to be left behind. Cassis has to keep the mate he refuses to bond with safe and recue hundreds of humans.They find an ally in the kids from Lunos's father, who is working as a Lieutenant in the mines, but not before they inadvertently destroy his means for rescuing the humans. A hasty plan B is formed. It is far more dangerous. King Bryant's mining operation has to be shut down. What he is mining could lead to the enslavement of humanity.Samantha and Cassis are adversely being affected by the magic in Talon. The fae warrior from Lunos clearly sees the problem and gives Cassis his story with his mate. Cassis trusts him with the reason for his refusal to bond with Sam. The warrior understands. He would destroy worlds to protect his mate, his cubs, his quint, and those who he calls family. Cassis calls for help and Ellis has to boldly invade the camp to help Sam. It is clear that the guard is not going to allow any privacy. Then he has to leave as quickly as he came. He isn't going far.Plan B doesn't go as planned. The young fae are reunited with their father, and one doesn't want to return home, and has to learn a hard lesson on leadership and war. Sam is depleted the Lunos warrior promises to care for the humans she came to save in his world, while her mates rush to get her back to Talonswood.King Bryant has caught up with them as Reece meets them on the Talon side of the gate, braking his word to Cassis to stay in Talonswood. The the truth on why Cassis has refused to bond with Sam comes out. Bryant lays out their future and gives the an hour of privacy to come to grips with their new reality. Cassis offers his life, but Sam wants their bond. Sienna spell is complete. Sam learns of her family and the truth of why she targeted the horseman is reveled, and why they had to suffer. Sienna's spell just gave them a loophole to escape from King Bryant.Last Chance World hit the ground running and doesn't stop. Fast pace, twisted and turns, and steamy. The Lunos tie in was seamless. I could think of only one of Lera's males who would undertake the rescuing of enslaved humans, and I was right. He is still who he always was, but more in a positive way, since having cubs and being mated for more than a decade. Great ending for their adventures for now. A great opening for more from Talonswood and Lunos.

This story ties into other stories penned by this author, and includes a certain fae male with a pretty prominent role to play here. That surprised me.I think this is my favorite book out of the Talonswood series, simply for the fact that Samantha is treated much better than she has been by her mates. It was a long time coming, and I still don't like them, but it did satisfy the story arc, so I'm pleased.

Loved it! I especially loved the crossover with Lunos and the Power of Five characters! Although I was somewhat taken aback by Cole. I think he had more dialogue in this one book than he did in the entirety of the Power of Five and sequel series. 😂 I guess he’s grown in the 17 years since we last saw him.

At times, I have difficulty continuing a more than 3 book series. However, with this series, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Besides a few typos (Mika becoming Mike a couple of times), it was a great series. Good story, interesting characters, and the perfect amount of spice- not so much it takes up half of each book, but enough that it helped to drive the story forward. I would definitely read something else by this author.

3.5 for meSo I liked that there was more danger and adventure in this. It pushed Sam and the guys she’s with. More drama. More suspense/anticipation. The sex was hot.As someone who’s read this author’s other work, I was really excited when I saw characters from Lunos! I loved the nostalgia that hit me and the sadness that came with seeing time pass. I’ve missed so much of their life :( . And their ending! If there’s a book on that I’d love to know.

I do not write spoilers, I do not write spoiler, I do not write spoilers....but dang it is hard to write this review! You get an AMAZING cameo of special characters and fall in love all over again. What a great way to end and I hope there is a small follow up epilogue because I want more! I love Alex's writing style and the world building done by Alex. I cannot get enough of the stories. I think the conclusion could have been stronger but it wrapped up nicely. You get some epic steamy scenes and even more adventures. Enjoy this last installment, let's hope for more.

This was a good ending to the series. It was nice to finally get most of everything wrapped up along with a little surprise at the end. I will admit that I was a little let down at the end though. It may have given us am ending but it also created more questions. What hapoens now? Does sam get the council seat? What happens with the portal? What hapoens with the research cassis is starting? Or maybe that's the reader in me, always seeking more. Plus I would love to see more of Sam and the others figuring out their newest challenge(but I know for sure that's just because I'm greedy lol). Anyway, it was still a pretty good series thats worth the read.

Alex L. did not disappoint! This entire series was amazing and. Honestly I'm sad this series has ended. I hope to hear more of Sam and her men in future books. Do they seal the gateway? Do they all make it home? Was Sienna truly the bad guy the men think she was? I absolutely loved every step of the book, but one remaining question is there, What happened to Janie?

I write for the entire series… another lovely series from Alex… lots n lots of magic, action, drama, passion… Sam’s destiny from human to powerful witch with four gorgeous drop dead mates with plenty of twists n turns to keep you hooked… the ending was tame in comparison almost like something else will come along… this is not the conclusion… would like more on their journey Alex… awesome twist of the twins along with Coal from the quaint days… look forward to more adventures here & on Leros… Cheers!

This series kinda fell apart for me, I never really got into the story cause I feel like there was very little actual plot. Also I never really got a feel for Ellis, Asher, Reese, Cassia and Sam as a whole because each book only really focused on Sam and only one of the men. I still enjoyed it but it doesn't come close to power of five.

I quite enjoyed the plot, it was entertaining. Book 4 however dragged a bit and there is the sense that it was just laying the foundation for a new series. So after reading all 4 books this end was a bit anticlimactic.Nevertheless would recommend a read.

This series had some promise. It was too light on yhe depth of the world it was set in but perhaps I should of read poer of 5 first. I enjoyed the books non the less u til the ending. Sorry but that was a lame ass ending for the series. It was more and ending for another book in the series. So give this series a go if you want but be prepared to feel u satisfied at the end

I loved this series! I had been in a book funk for a year and this was the perfect book to get me out of it. The growth you see in the FMC is flawless and was well written. While I would have preferred to have the ending stretch out a bit more i still loved it and highly recommend!
