Avalon Midi Sleeper Cabin Bed including Sprung Mattress (15cm), 3ft Single

Brought this bed for my son's first "big boy' bed and what an amazing bed it is.Let's start with the quality, the wood is well cut and has a great finish and could be easily painted if you wanted.The instructions were easy to read and we're very detailed. Every piece was colour coded and went together well. The only gripe I had was that a few of the longer screws were hard to get in using the key provided but went in easily with my drill.The bed looks amazing and even came with a mattress which is comfortable I know I've nodded off on it several times.The bed is strong and easily holds my 16 stone with ease.Price wise it's very affordable and they have lots of different styles.Great product 🙂

In general, we like the bed -the look of natural look and it can hold up to 250kg. The main reason why we buy the bed.However, the construction of the bed can be tricky - we do DIY jobs all the time it does take a while to follow through with the instruction. It's best to have two people assemble it - as you need someone to hold the parts. Not the easiest instruction to follow and parts can be confusing from time to time. We think the quality of the bolts can be a lot better - We are not sure how easy it is going to take it apart in the years to come given that some blots are already blunt and the drill might not be able to take it out in the future.If you want to make the bed feel more sturdy, you might need some more supporting L shape corner support - that will make the bed more sturdy.We bought the basic mattress but we regretted it immediately as we unpack it - perhaps just buy the bed but choose a mattress you like. The mattress is very springy - it's more like a trampoline than a comfy bed.

The bed is as described. It is made of nice wood and is lovely when assembled. I would say you need a bit of diy experience to put this together. Once assembled it is great and well worth the money.

Lovely bed. Very sturdy as it states. I’ve slept in it a few times and it didn’t feel unsafe at all. Took a while to get my head around the instructions and you definitely need two people for a few part of it. But didn’t take too long.Taken one star off as it arrived with a missing bit of wood for one of the back rests. However, the company have a very easy to use replacement service and bit was shipped next day. Annoying and we had a very disappointed little boy but not the end of the world.Overall, although some hiccups it is good quality and a well made bed. More sturdy than any big brand versions. We liked it so much I’ve just ordered another one for the other twin.

Really pleased with this bed, does take 2 to assemble but really easy to do. Instructions are easy to understand and delivery was quick.
