PNY128GB Elite Class 10 U1 microSDXC Flash Memory Card, Model:P-SDU128U185EL-GE

I bought this originally for my girlfriend who wanted more space for pictures and was unhappy with the 32GB that already came with her phone. She loved it until it failed her with write errors and then stating that the micro SD was corrupt. I managed to salvage many of the items she had saved and reformatted for my phone Galaxy S7 Edge thinking it would be a nice upgrade from my 32GB Sandisk, boy was I wrong! It did not even last 2 days in my phone when I received various errors which turned into my phone no longer even recognizing the card. I attempted to restore it on my PC but that will not even recognize it. I am a VERY dissatisfied customer due to the lack of quality and headaches it gave me attempting to make it work. I have NEVER had such an issue with an SD card. I wish I would have tried it before gifting it so that I could have learned about the issues and gotten my money back before it was already too late. Stay away from this product! If you take picture to save memories but don't mind losing most go ahead and buy it. If you like spending time making music playlists on your phone only to discover that they will not be read while at the gym, then this micro SD is for you. If you're like me and prefer when items work as advertised then I beg you to stay away! This review is specifically for the 128GB version. I would not recommend this to anyone. I hope this review helps many of you.

Another counterfeit item from Amazon? I have a 50% failure rate on getting items that are obvious fakes. This card was sealed in the cardboard packaging, but cutting it open shows the plastic sleeve holding the card is sealed with a piece of scotch tape. The card itself barely gets 1/2 the rated rated speed on USB 3.0 ports with the right adapter. Other flash memory works correctly at rated speeds.Be careful and check your memory, commingled inventory means that Amazon can have fakes.

I had been using this in my Nikon camera for about a year for light-duty photography, I maybe used the camera 20 times in that year. Over the weekend, I was shooting video out near a waterfall when, for no reason at all, the card corrupted and I lost everything I had been shooting that day. Luckily I was able to get 75% back with a card recovery program, but I am never taking the risk on this brand again. I have never had this happen with Samsung or SanDisk. Once I'm sure I have all the files recovered off of it, this is going in the trash.

Worked great for about 12 months until it randomly decided to become write protected. No number of different computers, memory card readers, cameras, disk formatters, or disk partitioning would work to remove the write protection. So, I am now stuck with 128GB micro sd card that is half filled with personal files and can not be used to write or change anything new on it. Guess I'll need to take a hammer to it to clear the data off as its useless now... PNY customer service, will you make this right?

Counterfeit or Wildly Defective.Opened the clamshell packaging, put the micro-SD card into the adapter, put the adapter into my Macbook Pro. It didn't show up in the Finder or Disk Utility, but I soon noticed a horrible smell as the plastic adapter began smoking. It doesn't seem to have damaged my MBP (other SD cards still work) but this has to be counterfeit or wildly defective.

This card is DANGEROUS! It ruined a retro case. I put it in and it smelled like burned plastic, I pulled it out and it burned my fingertip, it almost caught on fire, and left burn marks on the case. It didn't ruin the raspberry pi amazingly enough, it just decided to meltdown. I got it RMA'd, but to be honest, I don't want another one to ruin whatever else I put it in. I have tons of san disk and samsung, none of them have done this... not a great first experience with pny...

EDIT: SD card stopped working today after using it in a Surface 3. States that it is write protected, my Kindle claims it's unstable and corrupted. Will no longer be using.Original Review:Great and spacious SD card!I'm currently using this SD card in a Samsung Chromebook Plus without any issue. I've also used it in Android tablets without a problem. Works as intended!

The micro USB side, literally the only reason I bought this in the first place, does not work at all. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with how loosely the micro SD card fits in the slot (also a negative point) or the fact that it doesn't have any retention "fangs" (as I can them, since they look like little vampire fangs), but it simply isn't recognized at all (nothing happens in the least) by three different phones I've tried it in. I've tried with the included micro SD card and two other cards I already have and know to be authentic. I've used the USB A side with no issues, but I didn't get this so I could have a fifth micro SD to USB A adapter! I haven't tested the card yet to see if it's truly a 32GB and that the speeds are legitimate, but I'm honestly not going to be surprised to see it report counterfeit numbers.

Excellent fast access storage great for all those downloaded phone Netflix movies. Super price too.

Perfect , used in LG G6, works outstanding. A1UPDATE : Purchased it in May 26, 2017.Since having a lots of issues with the card. Lots of pictures/videos will not save to the card, Lots of pictures and videos save Corrupted to the card. Its just unacceptable. Will try other brand cant keep loosing my family memories. Very disappointed coz I purchased PNY DDR for my computer to. :( Went from 5star to 2star due to unreliability.2018-->Going from 2 star to 1 star, absolutely Crap ! Every single picture saved on the card is now corrupted, Can not save anything on the card at all at this point. Company PNY has offer NO help or exchange even so the card Only about 8 months old. The card started acting up about 5 months ago. Buyer Beware!

Used it without issue in my Nintendo Switch for a while. One day I found my game files for Zelda Breath of the Wild had become corrupted and had to re-install. This happened to a couple other games since. I'm pretty sure it's the SD card at this point.Micro SD cards are incredible in their small size and vast storage, but sometimes the promise is a little too good to be true. If your data is important, do a bit of research on cards first.

It’s a couple months over a year since I purchased this card and it no longer works. I was using it in my Nintendo Switch and the Switch is telling me that my files are corrupt. I’m going with a better brand for my next purchase. I would recommend everyone do the same.
