Bass Traps That Work!
I wound up ordering 4 dozen of these. Ended up having to soak them in the tub for like 15 minutes to get them to separate and fluff out, which was pretty cool. They're rather durable, but if you do have to soak them, GENTLY wring them out, then let them sit in a fairly warm room in front of a fan for about 24 hours. The instructions suggest that you can put them in the dryer for about 15-20 minutes. I would NOT recommend this. I did this with the first few and noticed that due to the traps being wet, they tend to grip the back wall of the dryer and get caught in between the back wall, and the tumble bars inside the dryer, as it is spinning, which ultimately causes tears in the edges, and chunks missing off of the baffles. I saw that and immediately took them out of the dryer. Air-drying with a fan takes more time, but there is no damage to the product. These traps are very good quality and design for the money! I would recommend them to anyone trying to create a Studio space, vocal booth, or any space where low end is reflective. They make a huge difference! I will be ordering again!

Works
PITA to apply. Finally said the heck with it and used my staple gun. These do make an acoustical difference. I'd say these are worth the price and the hassle of installation. Theater room is discernably quieter.

Quality control issues for sure
Not on the thick side, seal was perfect but quality control seems to be the issue with these.Update: I followed method 1, dipped I all of then in a sink with water. Wrung them out and put them in dryer for 25 min in low and all of then opened up nicely. As another reviewer said, these need some patience.

Disappointed.
Usually, you get what you pay for, so I figured these would be pretty decent at 3 and a half bucks a pop. Well they aren't. The pictures show a pure white smooth finish product, which these are not. They are more of an off white and some sort of fiberglass looking matting. They are also advertised as 12" by 12" and they're not. They're small. One of the panels came with a stain as well.If you're looking for white acoustic panels for a game room with led lighting DO NOT BUY THESE! The material absorbs the light.

Be gentle, don't follow instructions to a T, and stop using 3M stickers on this foam.
The material is good for the price, hard to complain on that front.Check other people's pictures, they all have some truth to them. DO fully soak these in water (to get rid of the smell and start expanding them), DO wring them out (gently so you don't rip anything), and DON'T put these all in the drier at the same time and forget about them (you can choose to leave them to dry in a warm space instead).I put all of the bass traps in my drier and thankfully they expanded and popped the drier door open, stopping the cycle before any major tearing occurred. A couple pieces had some small bits of foam torn off, but nothing extreme. However, the hot air and enclosed space has made some of these form permanent wrinkles and left others slightly misshapen (i.e. curved on 1 side or not 90 degrees in the corner). In the end about 1/4 of them actually look as advertised. As for the 3M stickers comment in the title, the "frequently bought together" on amazon and the instructions that come with the foam recommend 3M adhesives but they hardly do the job. I've used command strips and the 3M double sided foam tape twice now on this type of acoustic foam and neither will stick for long since it's so porous (low surface area for adhesion). For my last project I used tacky glue to mount acoustic foam to a sheet to hang up, this time since they're in the corner I'll probably just use pins to make sure these stay in. Seriously, just find some alternative to tape okay? It's not going to stay up for long otherwise.

Ignore the "flat like a pancake" reviews...
Ignore the reviews of folks saying they arrived flat; they're compressed, vacuum sealed for easy shipping .. of course they arrived flat! I bought these a year prior and just got to opening them up for use. Bought a 12pk of pyramid pattern and it arrived in a single vacuum sealed package. The inner pack had two vacuum sealed packs containing 6 compressed panels. I tried both methods to revive the foam and both worked, with some notes...If you've never worked with foam before, MOST foam products ship to you flat packed like these did. The leave out and let them rise method works best in a room that remains warm (between 65-75°F) with air flow. Sometimes the panels need more than 48 hours to fluff up, especially if they've been packed for awhile.Of the two methods, the soak and dry method worked best and fastest! A few tips:1. USE HOT WATER. Get the water as hot as you can safely handle and soak the panels one at a time in a sink. Don't drop and flood them... hold them up and soak them under the faucet. If you have a hose you can use, even better. Soak the whole panel. If any edges still look thin or dry, use your fingernails and scratch the edge of the panel. As you scratch it you'll release the pressed edges. I promise they're not sealed or cut wrong. It may take a little effort, but they're fine. Make sure to really wringe them out before throwing them in the dryer. Use MEDIUM HEAT in the dryer for 20 minutes. If they're still damp, throw them in again for 10 minutes.Of the 12 panels, all 12 fluffed up fully however I did take the air fluffed panels and soak/dry them for fullness. These worked GREAT! Sound dampening in a recording corner for half the price!

Changed my studio!
This stuff is the best! I used it in the entire space and holy crap I should’ve bought it a long time ago. Easy to put up and makes the space look and sound more professional. If you’re looking for cost effective and functionality this foam is it! 10/10

Perfect for voice over/acting
Best imo for voice over! If you add a polyester panel behind the foam it is studio quality!Adhesion: depending on what you’re applying to I’d recommend something like sonopan or plywood instead of applying to drywall. Putting gorilla tape on the backside of the foam is how I personally applied these! A little super glue on the tape and set on drywall.Setup: The foam comes compressed so make sure to soak them in water! Squeeze out majority of water and put into dryer on medium heat. Some dryers take longer than others!

Panels crushed
Overall pretty good but 3 out of the 12 panels didn’t quite expand to the shape they were meant to.
