Milk Thistle 7000 mg (80% Silymarin) Dietary Health Food Supplement 120 Vegan Capsules, Promotes Healthy Liver Function

Difficult with tablets one can only assume they are as described and do what they are supposed to.

I was taking the Holland & Barratt one, but this is better and cheaper!

It's the amount of silymarin extract that matters, not the amount of milk thistle in the capsule. I consider 400mg of silymarin to be the optimal daily amount. For the past 10 years or so, I have been buying a similar product from a German manufacturer which had 400mg of silymsrin. Sadly, the product has become expensive, so I switched to this product which is much cheaper. Unfortunately it only contains 230mg of silymarin, so on day when I consume alchohol I often take before and one after drinking, usually one in the morning and one in the evening. Obviously the supply does not last for 120 days which makes the product less value than it first appears. I still think it is fair value for money though.As to whether it really does help to promote a healthy liver for those of us who oever indulge sometimes, that is different for each individual. I can only say that despite being a fairly regular drinker for more than 40 years, my annual blood tests show a very healthy liver, something my doctor has remarked on more than once!
