Don’t buy these.I put them on my Jeep yesterday and it broke today. Not because of wind not because I opened the door too fast. It just pulled apart.

I've had mine on my Jeep for a couple of months now, and I must say, they work very well. I tested them out by accident. I live in Kansas and the wind can be a little crazy at times. I pulled my Jeep out of the garage and was getting out of the Jeep and I didn't realize which way the wind was blowing, well when I opened the door a gust of wind caught my door and flung it open before I could grab the handle. The Paracord cord strap did the job, it stopped the door from hitting the front fender.This product is much better than the ones I had on. A little tricky to install, I took a screw driver and stretched the holes that fit on the door bracket and the post in side the jeep, this made it easy to slip over the post.I would recommend these door straps, well worth the little extra money you pay!!!

They didn't last that Long had to make my own after a week they stretched and became useless

As an Army vet, I’m all too familiar with “550 cord”. If Uncle Sam thinks it’s good enough to help with sling loads under helicopters, a big braid of the stuff can certainly handle some Jeep doors. So far after a few weeks of an 18 yr old & his buddies tossing the doors around like rag dolls, these haven’t stretched, frayed, loosened or shown any other signs of wear. The last two sets of aftermarket OEM style straps ripped in the first day. These, on the other hand, have taken constant abuse from my son & his pals without breaking a sweat. Easily worth the price.
