ForgefixDS4550 Pozidriv Decking Screw - Green Anti-Corrosion

When my wife asked me if i wanted a screw to which i replied definately as our screamy kids were out, i got really excited. Then she passed me a screwdriver and a box of these bad boys and told me to get to work fixing the decking. Dissappointment aside these are crackimg screws and wont rust. Just dont get trapped into agreeing to use them when your not thinking diy.

Got through over 2000 of these this past week on a fence I've built, great screws for the price.No rounded heads, use of decent quality PZ2 bits helps I'm sure.No complaints at all, really cannot argue for the money.Coating looks nice and thick so should weather well.!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE AFTER 5 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!NOT impressed, after installing nearly 40m of fencing I noticed a few of my 19mm x 100mm fence boards were coming away from the rails in places, on closer inspection some of the screws had actually randomly snapped leaving most of the threading in the rail and the head/shank in the board. On further investigation I attempted to remove about a dozen of the screws and 8 of them snapped there and then. Seems they're very poor quality or perhaps a bad batch, this will cause a complete nightmare if I have to do any extensive removal of panels at any point. Not happy :(

I initially started off fixing the deck with stainless steel screws as I though that they would be much longer lasting than anything else. However, I found that they were difficult to use as they are quite soft and and it was easy to damage the heads (which makes them extremely difficult to remove should you want or need to).I eventually did remove all the stainless steel screws and refined the deck with these.

Pulled up our old decking and recycled it into planters. Went to homebase to get some deck screws but hubby thought they were too long and much too expensive. These were perfect. Had a few duds, but nothing that would prevent us from buying these again. All in all a good product.And now....................we are putting new decking down (if the rain ever stops!(May 2021) and have returned to this product to do that job. They are very good and a brilliant price, hence our second purchase. May even make more planters and flog some to recouperate some costs - Trotters Inc lol lol

I needed screws to finish a job I'd started but couldn't get to a hardware shop so I bought these. They're not bad but softer than my usual brand and they can chew up. I had to dismantle something I'd made after a couple of months and found them starting to rust. Not the best but by no means the worst I've used before deciding to spend a little more and buy better quality screws.I will use them again as they're much cheaper than my other choice of screw but probably not for anything exterior that I want to last for years
