Are the parts in the pvg suitable for fixing a older valve model srv?

Yes, I bought this to fix my older one.

Help: size of the unit - how far are the screws one from the other to get a dimension of the square on top. I am trying to replace the top part. tnx

2 inches. I did the same and changed the tops with solenoid and diaphragm. Nice thing is the new valves come with hex screws for a nice upgrade.

Is this connection a slip joint or threaded?

I believe this is the threaded, NOT slip-jointed, one. I got two valves with my order one with the threads and one with the threads. I only needed the top part of the unit, so either unit worked for me. If you look at the video with this product description, at some point he does turn the valve enough to show the threads. The other valve I got did say in its description that it was a slip joint unit.

Valve will not shut off

99% of the time this is due to debris getting inside the valve during installation, a repair down stream, or just debris/sediment loosening from pipe walls and getting stuck in the valves diaphragm. Simply remove the 4 screws to service and clean. Thank you
