I bought this as a gift and it came in some of the nicest packaging I've seen. It arrived nicely packed with foam sheeting covered in bubble wrap to protect it. Inside was a gift box style box with the dish nestled in heavy duty tissue paper. It is a beautiful, simple, flawless dish. It hasn't seen heavy use yet but has baked and cleaned up well for the uses it has seen.

I can't say enough about the Portmeirion Sophie Conran set! We originally purchased the medium and larger pitchers to use at our wedding for flowers and loved the design so much that my mom bought a few other pieces to add to our set for a gift. The most recent one of these dishes that we bought we gave as a housewarming gift, it was in our price range, beautiful and simplistic, and comes in a nice box (we didn't even need to wrap it).This dish is a little smaller than described (as the dimensions match the box rather than the dish), but don't let that stop you. We have used this dish for lasagna, ratatouille, brownies, smaller roasts... and much more. The design is nice to have for taking dishes/sides to a family or potluck dinner and we are finding we use it more than our glass bakeware. These dishes are oven and microwave safe and we haven't had any difficulties washing them out, even after "messy" meals. Once we had lasagna that we were reheating in the oven and it baked on some of the sauce, but after a short soak it came off easily and didn't leave any stain marks.Also, to comment on the reviews calling this dish fragile... it is a porcelain dish so you don't want to drop it on a hard surface, but it has some weight to it that I don't think it would break from normal use.

This is a great product. It comes in its own beautiful box, so it would be a nice gift for the cook. It’s nice and heavy ceramic. I bought this because I needed a deep lasagna pan. This is 4” deep, so just perfect. I loved it so much I actually bought two of these!

I would give the dish 5 stars it’s beautiful and unique but the box it came in although perfect was damaged and I wanted to give this as a gift. It’s Amazon not Sophie Coran. I’m going keep it for myself. Love it

I have several pieces from this line of pottery. I love the designs but I also love how functional and durable the pieces are. This baking dish is great for lasagna, fruit crisps, or a large salad.

Beautiful dish comes in incredibly beautiful box. Somehow I didn’t think it would be made in china, but it is. When you read about Sophie Conran products it looks like a family (she and her husband) inspired business and they are not from china! Then you get the product and find out it is from china. I’m really disappointed as I like to support anyone as individual business owners, and many countries make great porcelain (Portugal ). So why support a country in which the Chinese Communist Party dominates it’s people?

I bought this pan because it's just so pretty, even though I was intent on buying the cheapest simplest lasagna pan I could find. Best impulse purchase ever. The food cooks evenly and the porcelain is truly non stick. I cooked a lasagna in it, heated it up twice again in the oven over the next few days, and the browned/burned cheese on the edges (you know what I'm talking about) came right off with a few firm swishes of the green side of a scotch brite sponge. I've never cleaned off a lasagna pan with this little effort. I was a little stunned. So please, do yourself a favor and splurge a little on this gorgeous dish. You can cook in it, serve in it, and clean it up in a swish.

I’ve had several Sophie Conran cook-and-serve dishes over nearly a decade. They are beautiful to look at, practical and last a long time in regular use.We don’t baby them and they look as good, years later, as they do on the first day. This speaks volumes to their glazing and build quality.Five stars.

Love this dish, excellent quality and easy to clean. Perfect for roasting meat, veg and a great size for a home made lasagna.

I had a small one of these already and various other Sophie Conran pieces in the same design. Really stylish and whilst it's quite large, this is a fab dish for cooking family meals such as lasagne, cottage pie, or serving a variety of vegetables. I really recommend this range.
