The solution you're looking for...
My wife and I lucked into a kegerator and elected to replace everything beer related inside including the tower to be certain we were starting from scratch with a clean, operational system. What we quickly discovered was that, with our setup the way it was, our first pour after allowing the system to sit for any more than 10 minutes was consistently foamy. Given that we weren't interested in speed drinking through our kegs on a consistent basis, this issue presented itself as a significant hindrance to what should have been an exceedingly enjoyable experience. We tried everything from cleaning our very lightly used beer lines to adjusting temp and pressure to fix the problem. Nothing seemed to work, but after some extensive research, it seemed that getting a tower cooler was my only remaining option. Thankfully, the change in first pour quality was immediate. This was, without a doubt, the issue we and countless others experience when your kegerator doesn't have a built in tower cooler. Also of note: Installation was relatively easy. I was able to run the power cable through the same hole in the back of the kegerator that the condenser line runs through. I simply re-sealed the gap with some duct seal after I had the fan situated where I wanted it. I also installed the fan on a smart outlet so that I could set up a routine in my smart system that automatically powers the fan on and off with enough time to cool the tower every day. By doing this, you can ensure the fan only runs when you think you'll be drinking beer, thereby extending its life significantly.I hesitated to purchase this fan because of the price, but there's no doubt it solved my foamy beer issue. Do with that information what you will.

Much improved over earlier version
More effective than earlier model, but still noisy. A little pricey for what it is.

Stop the foam - great product!
This really works and is quiet. Before the cold tower my pours were half foam. I know I had balanced system so the only thing left was to try cooling the tower. I bought the cold tower and now I get perfect pours now every single time. Great product!

The tube is too short for a full size cooler
I haven't installed it yet but I measured the power consumption and was pleasantly surprised it is only 2.1 watts. At 15 cents per KWH that's less than $3 per year! No need to turn it off and on.REVUE AFTER INSTALLING IT: I had great expectations but it has made no difference in the excess foam I am still getting. I did install it in a full size 3 keg beer cooler NOT a kegerator and the tube provided was a little too short - maybe 6 inches - to reach as high in the tower as they recommend. The tower however does seem cooler but there has been no effect that I can see on the excess foam. I must have some other problem. Although I doubt the few inches too short a tube causes this I have tried to get a longer tube and after MANY emails back and fort with the company finally have given up. They agreed on $8 and I offered to pay via PayPal or to mail a check after they requested I use some service I am not familiar with. I wanted to rule the shorter tube out but I really doubt a longer tube will make any difference. After REPEATED contacts with nothing from them I dropped it.
